Sad day Angela Raynor on Sky news
claims she feels despair and upset sorry I think she and Starmer
must be feeling so self satisfied wish she and Sta me r would stop claiming they know whatr
public think They don't kno e what the public think When Labour were in power they showed no interest in the public closed schools made huge schools and let classes get bigger The schools in this town were ruined.Yes sadly he has lied but he doesn't believe he knows what the public think.The thing is if he goes I still vote conservative i can't cope with the arrogance and smugness of the Labour party

StarbucksSmarterSister · 31/01/2022 16:15

These stupid archaic rules have to change.
Johnson lies all the time in the HoC without impunity, including today the smear against Starmer but anyone who dares to call him a liar gets booted out if they don't withdraw it.

I think Starmer's speech, while calm, was excellent but Ian Blackford was bloody marvellous!

RunningFromInsanity · 31/01/2022 16:16

@ladygindiva

My parents feel the same, after many decades of voting Conservative. Who would you want to replace? My view is it should be noone that's been in sniffing distance of this cabinet.
I would have supported a new conservative leader if they had ousted Boris voluntarily. Too late now.

No idea who I would vote for now.

HangoverSquare · 31/01/2022 16:16

ok hun

Yellow85 · 31/01/2022 16:16

@ChicCroissant

I think Blackford walked out rather than retract or be thrown out. Good on him! It's the first time the SNP have gone up in my estimation.

No way will he release the rest of the report if it implicates him. They knew he was a liar when they put him in charge, it's the Conservatives fault and they've brought it on themselves.

I think a lot of it is party politics. It’s good for SNP to see Boris’ demise as they’ll use it as leverage for independent debate. I’d rather the debate be about facts, policies and finances, not hiding on the coattails of Boris’ downfall.

I think most people can see right through it, but I still applaud him (Blackford) for going at it both barrels.

KimDeals · 31/01/2022 16:16

What did Theresa say?!! I missed that bit!

StarbucksSmarterSister · 31/01/2022 16:17

Interesting how most of the opposition are wearing masks and the Tories aren't

It's been the same all the time, except when mandatory.

murasaki · 31/01/2022 16:18

I think Marney must have been personally affected by those school closures...

GoudaVonCrumb · 31/01/2022 16:18

Everyone in the Uk should be forced to watch this so they realise just what a lying, deflecting, unprofessional arse they have chosen as a prime minister.

Itsalmostanaccessory · 31/01/2022 16:18

JRM looks quite ill sitting there. Even he must be seeing how bad this is.

Yellow85 · 31/01/2022 16:18

@AlwaysLatte

AlwaysLatte it must be. Surely? It's not even straight, is it! 😂
You’d think he could’ve expensed a decent wig 🤫

He's always telling us what the public want. They want to move on and aren't interested in all this trivia, he says it endlessly but then what does it matter what a liar says.

Yet there will still be people saying they'll defend him for no better reason than not liking the Labour Party.
Francescaisstressed · 31/01/2022 16:20

I find watching the news today utterly depressing. Why would anyone want him leading your party, let alone the country. A corrupt, smug liar who isn't ashamed of his behaviour.

AlwaysLatte · 31/01/2022 16:21

ah Fabricants hair. He claims it is not a wig. My dh thought it was someone doing a spoof of Boris when he saw it the other day. No wonder we are a laughing stick!
That's exactly what I thought, too!

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 31/01/2022 16:21

And people will still vote for the fuckers.

They can't get it through their pig thick heads that they're the reason we're in this mess. These are the tossers they fucking voted in.

I thought this too, he usually looks like a smug bastard who feels he has better things to do.
AlwaysLatte · 31/01/2022 16:22

@LampLighter414
That's bizarre!!

SafeMove · 31/01/2022 16:23

Wow @Marney - so you are happy for a man to lie to you, make laws preventing you doing things but carry on and break those laws, give dodgy contracts to his mates AND oversee a death toll of 150k plus but God forbid Labour made class counts bigger! What bastards.

HangoverSquare · 31/01/2022 16:24

Ben Riley-Smith
@benrileysmith
Breaking: Scotland Yard just said they've been handed more than 300 photographs as part of their partygate probe. Wow.

Macarena and spin the bottle pictures incoming!

And they would still vote for him. Because people don't use their brains - they hear 'world-beating X' and go - right, what an amazing job he's done.

The people aren't throwing him out now, so I don't see how they'd throw him out at the next election. Campaign will be all based on 'world-beating X' and people will vote him again. People do NOT know how to use their brains.

Perroquet · 31/01/2022 16:26

How long is the Met police inquiry likely to take?

RunningFromInsanity · 31/01/2022 16:26

I can only hope from the bottom of my heart that Cons are waiting for the full report before ousting Johnson.

BHX3000 · 31/01/2022 16:27

Who cares, it's not like they'll publish it? He's said it himself...
Perroquet · 31/01/2022 16:28

Will Sue Gray provide an official new report with more details after the police inquiry, or will the police inquiry result be the only new thing?
