What's the weirdest job someone you know does?

I mean the ones that you'd never heard of until someone you met/a friend of a friend said "oh yes I run a bat sanctuary/teach maths to prisoners/paint portraits of dead hamsters".

I know someone who works for a TV production company that makes all those UFO/Nessie/big foot type programs and it's her job to source and interview the people who think they've been abducted/seen big foot etc.

Probably works a lot with my mum's cousin who's a leading 'cryptozoologist' (unsure of spelling) i.e the type of person they call on as the expert for shows like that.

As a side note my mum was also once shown a council job posting for someone to clip nails for the elderly needless to say she was not tempted to apply!

I knew a glass eye maker- she had spares in her bag once....wtf.

I know someone who makes weird stuff for film sets and TV shows etc. He made a massive Jeff Goldblum statue that was in London for a while. Also someone who makes some of the most irritating adverts on TV.

My friend harvests the eyes of the dead for eye transplants, making sure they are suitable etc... creepiest job ever.

My dh's cousin used to do this. He wasn't allowed to tell us where or what the results were.

Why not - you can just look for planning permissions and check if they have a pond within 50m. That will give you a really good idea of where he was working.

We have a horse “Willy washer” (that’s the name of her company) come to the stables.
I often wonder how she responds on employment questionnaires…

Public toilet inspector. It was years ago, think a lot of them were shut down. He had the job of going into public toilets making sure men we're not committing indecent acts in them. It was a full time job.

Also dm had a dear friend whose career was being dr who monsters. He was in years or dr who but his face is only visible on the Marie Celeste episode.
