What's the weirdest job someone you know does?

I mean the ones that you'd never heard of until someone you met/a friend of a friend said "oh yes I run a bat sanctuary/teach maths to prisoners/paint portraits of dead hamsters".

One who flushes sanitary products down the toilet as a test/ researcher.

Another is a wig maker for the opera.

Intensive care nutritionist. Calculates the contents of tube feeding for coma patients.
Of course someone must do that job….

Prosthetics maker, arms dealer.

I know someone who works for a TV production company that makes all those UFO/Nessie/big foot type programs and it's her job to source and interview the people who think they've been abducted/seen big foot etc.

My sister is a professional whistle blower. She gets contracted by organisations that are in a mess to drill down and weed out the poison. She has kickstarted two royal commissions of inquiry. She is very unpopular in her workplaces!!

And I know someone who teaches ballet to people with dementia

My dad's a chimney sweep, and he offers a "I'll come shake your hand in your wedding day for good luck" service on his website, but so far no one's ever booked him for it.

I know someone who literally sleeps (whilst minding a house with other adults in it!) cushiest job ever. They work Friday night sat night and Sunday night...12 hour shifts so 36 hours. Paid about 20 an hour too...for sleeping 🤣🤣

@perimenofertility believe me I've tried that one apparently they have no problem recruiting turtle counters so don't need anymore, I wonder why

I used to safety test vibrators (among other things, including play parks, mobile phones and laser control boards).

• A friend answers the phone when someone in the UK gets bitten by a bat that might have had rabies

• Another friend works in a laboratory, testing sewerage for levels of covid to see where outbreaks are happening

• A school friend now makes period costumes for films

I've always thought that the best job ever has to be 'bed tester'. Not only getting paid just to sleep for hours on end, but then, as you've been asleep all day, you're lively and awake all night and have hours free to do whatever you want!

I have a friend who is a super recognizer!

A parapsychologist.

Public toilet inspector. It was years ago, think a lot of them were shut down. He had the job of going into public toilets making sure men we're not committing indecent acts in them. It was a full time job.

A friend of a friend makes reborn dolls. They give me the creeps

My friend harvests the eyes of the dead for eye transplants, making sure they are suitable etc... creepiest job ever.
