Childrens tv just isn’t the same nowadays. As a child I loved:
The raggy dolls
Barney- the dog not the dinosaur
Gran
Kissyfur
Jungle run
The tribe

What Programmes did you love?

Rosie and Jim

powershowerforanhour · 21/01/2022 20:27

Jimbo had a cracking theme tune

So did Dogtanian, and Willy Fogg (the cartoon lion kicks the arse of David Tennant any day). I used to love loads of things mentioned. No wonder my eyesight is crap, I must have watched telly from home time to dinner time most days.

Henry's Cat was another good one.

@autienotnaughty I sing that when I go to get my DD (18months) from her nap but use her name instead of shadow! 😂 she loves it and now jumps up when I call out her name at the end 😂

WhispersOfWickedness · 21/01/2022 20:57

Okay, two programmes I need help identifying Grin
They would have been early to mid 90s.
The first was set in the future and had a girl with a very severe ginger bob. It was sort of dystopian and I seem to remember they couldn't see the ground...
The second was set in a school and the kids in one class were running a full scale business in the classroom, every time the teacher left the class. There was a clueless headteacher and all the episodes featured them nearly getting caught Grin

Puddle Lane
Raggy Dolls
Rainbow
Grange Hill
The Queen's Nose

MarionForCampLeader · 21/01/2022 21:20

A fabulous thread!

Grange Hill, Kids of Degrassi street and Degrassi Junior High, Press Gang and Heidi.

My absolute favourite when I was really young was Button Moon. So much so, that when I was involved in a writing competition in the infants, my story was about the Moon family who lived on a wooden spoon Grin Even aged 6 I knew I couldn’t rip off a classic tv show exactly! I won the competition and had my story printed up like a book Grin
