Ngl, I had to sit down with pen and paper for a bit for this one. I didn't guess any other words other than the six I used but I did have to play around with letter combinations for a minute.

Todays has been the hardest I have done so far.

I don't know how each days word is generated but recent ones do seem to contradict the advice to start with a word using the most common vowels and consonants.

Got it in 5 today which for my first ever go I'd say is pretty good This thread prompted me to try it have been meaning to give it a whirl for a while

Smug. Started with a very common 3 vowel word but got it in 2. Took a long long time to move from 1 to 2 but with the letter combination and exclusions from 1, there really could only be one word that fitted.

I got it on the 4th guess in the end but I had to really think about it.

Has anybody ever got the word in one try just by luck?

I have- though not on the official game. There is another website where you can play unlimited games (you can also change the number of letters if you want) and I got it first time on there once. I always start with the same word so I suppose there was a reasonable chance of it happening at some point.

Does anyone else like starting with swear words or just me?
