Difficult today

How did I only hear about this game a few days ago?! Pure teasing tho by only giving one word a day

Five goes to get it today, I am sulking.

What happens if you don't get the word after 6 chances

221 is just “this is puzzle number 221”
4/6 means “you took 4 goes to get it”

I do this at midnight each night then I can go to bed addicted

I didn't think today's was too bad!

I got it in three starting with a word that had none of the letters in the word but lots of common letters so that eliminated lots of options. That is probably more important than knowing which letters are in the word. With my second word I knew 8 common letters that weren't in it and two letters that were in it including the vowels. That gave me a good idea of the pattern of the word and if there were any digraphs in the word. So I was pretty sure my third try was correct.
