Help me find a new kitchen gadget

We have a big gadget cupboard. We love them. In recent years we've had a cheque from a relative for £100 which we've spent on a new gadget. Last year was a Velvetiser.

We have an Instantpot, Magimix, air fryer, panini maker, ice cream maker. We tried a George Foreman grill but didn't like it so it went back.

Any suggestions what we can get? It doesn't have to be for the kitchen, I guess. We have Alexas and home plugs. We can top up the £100, if needed.

Sous vide wand!

Electric spiraliser?

Havilland · 13/01/2022 21:29

Spiralizer ^

Vacuum sealer! Can be useful for splitting multipacks of meat for freezing, you can add marinades, etc. Use it for cooking!

For Christmas DS2 bought me a milk frother. It heats and froths milk, you can use to make cappuccino or hot chocolate.

Breadmaker! So easy and you can either make the full loaf or dough for rolls, pizza base, focaccia...

One of my best gadgets is this
Tefal Chopper

We have a bread maker, pasta machine and vacuum sealer. I'm not sure we'd use a spiralizer. The rule is that we have to at least think it would be used, even if it ends up at the back with the waffle maker. Grin

Will look at the sous vide wand and always pan. We have a meater meat probe so it might make the sous vide redundant, but we'll see. As we have the vacuum sealer already, we would be halfway there.

Maybe not a gadget but I love our Joseph Joseph rice cooker.

toastofthetown · 13/01/2022 21:43

Rice cooker? A deep fat fryer? A temperature controlled kettle? Smoking gun?

Tricked2003 · 13/01/2022 21:49

I couldn't be without my pressure cooker. So good for soup, stews and getting intense flavour from cheap cuts in a very short time..... Beef shin, pork cheek etc

Whatwouldscullydo · 13/01/2022 21:50

Waffle maker?

wineandchocolateforthewin · 13/01/2022 21:52

I like that. Will add it to the list.

The deep fat fryer went when we got the air fryer. The instantpot does rice. We also have a microwave rice cooker. We only drink black tea from the kettle so a temperature controlled kettle is no use. I've spent a while looking at them trying to justify one. We have a Nespresso machine for coffee and use the Velvetiser for heating the milk.

We even have a Cake Factory for baking and a hand mixer! And I recently sold the Kitchenaid as it was taking up too much space. The instant pot does soup and we have a stick blender, so no need for even a soup maker.

I think we must have a gadget to cover every eventuality! Grin

Waffle maker?
I second waffle maker.
DisforDarkChocolate · 13/01/2022 22:03

I love my waffle maker.

Erictheavocado · 13/01/2022 22:03

this. Nowhere near £100, but it is one of the best things i've bought for my kitchen. I lo e gadgets too - my soup maker is another favourite item.

BonnesVacances · 13/01/2022 22:05

We have a waffle maker too! Blush

I'm looking on the Lakeland website and just ticking off electrical applicances... steam cleaner, yoghurt maker, smoothie maker. I am however tempted by the electric potato masher... I will have to look on YouTube for reviews of it in action as this is exactly the kind of thing that appeals to us.

I got one of these for my DTs at Christmas. They love making grilled cheese when they come home from school.

It’s not very gadget-y I suppose though…

KnobJockey · 13/01/2022 22:10

Ooh, one of those things to steam your clothes rather than ironing. I love the, they were one of my favourite toys back in retail. No idea on this one, just an idea of what I mean

I was going to say kitchenaid - wouldn't be without mine
