Morning all! Happy New Year! What are your plans for today?

Atm, I'm enjoying the silence while drinking a coffee. The girls stayed up with their dad to see in the new year so they're sock on 🤣

I'm off up to get dressed in a mo, then start slowly taking down the decorations.

I'm fully expecting a lazy day of Minecrafting from the girls, & I really want to actually get somewhere with the crochet socks I've been attempting to start. My brain isn't computing how they want me to start them, and then I lost all track of where I was the other night so packed them away 🤷‍♀️

We're having roast gammon for tea, today rather than tomorrow. There are a handful of Christmas crackers left, so we'll use those up & set the table nicely.

Doing a ‘big’ nyd lunch, like Christmas dinner all over again. Got the meat in the oven and prepared all veg yesterday.

Currently sat in bed on mn trying to stop feeling sick and remembering why mixing drinks is never a good idea 🤮

Morning! Taking the decorations down and cleaning. Fresh air for the kids and need to get something for dinner. But first, I need a shower

Nursing my hangover and trying to keep my 5 and 6 year old entertained with minimal effort! Looking forward to an early night with my new book 😊

I've been to Parkrun and now I'm back in my pyjamas and planning to stay that way for most of the day.

DS2 is working later. DS1 still sleeping off a hangover.

A PCR test (attempted to get one yesterday but the testing site was unbelievably shittily signposted) 3 out of 4 of us tested positive yday so despite the lovely weather we can't go out. I have done some washing and will try to persuade myself to do a home workout. Probably lots of wasting time on my phone!!

A lazy day here. Will have a clean and try and find homes for some of the DCs presents that have been lying round since Christmas.
Planning a nice brunch in a bit and then a local walk with the dog.

Mild and sunny here so there will be a walk. I am decluttering & tidying the past few days. Today, I looked around and felt disheartened as I don't know if I'm really making progress. So I think I'll start with some of that, then walk with DD, take the chance to do some reading later with both DSs seeing their father.

me and DS7 have been out for an hour or so this morning, walking round the outskirts of the village and discussing what our favourite memories were from the last year.

washing is out and nicely drying as its so mild, dishwasher is running and I'm about to give the bathroom a clean 😁

the rest of the day will likely be movies/youtube and board games. with a living room camp out tonight.

for us the perfect start to 2022!

I've been lazing about on the sofa, I seem to have avoided the worst of a hangover. I'm pretty tired though! DH is making breakfast and just handed me a coffee. We'll go for a walk at some point today and I might go for a swim in the sea.

Happy new year all. We’re off walking just now, we have some sweets and a cheeky mini bottle of fizzy to open when we reach the halfway point of the walk (it’s all downhill from that point!), then back home to potter for the afternoon and start packing up our kitchen, it’s being ripped out - all being well - on Tuesday ready for a new one to go in. Pizza for dinner (a NYD tradition for us), I like to keep the Christmas decorations up for one last night so they’ll come down tomorrow.

Lazy day. I’m still in bed. It’s a grey, gusty, drizzly day here with sudden heavy showers so I have no inclination to go outside.

Going to do a deep clean and take the decorations down.

DH is going to pick up a new hoover because ours is shite and it's driving me mad.

Then we're going to have a mini buffet dinner and play games.

DH & I are still in bed. Not sure if DD13 is awake. Unusually she had her phone all night. Not much planned. It’s dull but dry at least so might go for a walk on the beach later. We might have an Indian delivered but it could well be very busy tonight. I have garlic & rosemary lamb steaks so could do those with roasties & broccoli.

Happy new year! We are off to the national trust down the road to us to hire cycles for all of us. Cheap as chips to hire them. Too muddy to take our own.

Christmas lasts until 6th January.

We only put our decorations up on 23rd December, so the decorations are staying up until then.

Lazy day here. Ds and dp are playing some of dss new switch games, I'm titting about on here and reading some of the stack of books I got for Christmas.

Have just had a pain au chocolate for breakfast and might get a shower after I've finished my coffee.

Am contemplating taking the decorations down, but it's also the wrong time of the month and I'm feeling pretty sore. So I might just take the opportunity to hide under my blanket with a hot water bottle all day, instead of taking painkillers, putting on a brave face and cracking on.

Debating about getting dressed, it's nice to not have to be up and out! Off for a walk this afternoon with DH's sister and doing a present exchange. We decided to meet outdoors initially as she's unvaccinated and a bit of a covid-denier, but for her sake it's probably worked out for the best as we're all close contacts of a positive case now. Takeaway tea tonight and an early night.

Going to get my girls from their dads in a bit. They've been there since Boxing Day. Will take them riding before coming home and making dinner - probably have pie.

I was up all night unwell (negative PCR though thank goodness) so am having a lazy morning so far.
Once I've finished my coffee we're taking the DCs to the park up the road so DS can drive his remote control car around for a bit and then home for lunch.
I think this afternoon we're off to John Lewis to buy a new duvet as ours is grim and maybe a quick wander round the shops for a few bits and then home to start rescuing the house from the mass influx of toys from Christmas and Ds's birthday.

Dropped ds to work then I've come bak and cleaned all of downstairs and the bathroom

Like a PP, I am trying to entertain my five year old while fighting a hangover.

DH is making sandwiches and we're going for a walk with neighbours and their girls at 12pm.

Chinese for tea, few episodes of Mare of Easttown then an early night!

We are going to walk the dog, take the decorations down, have a bit of a clean and tidy up.

I’m making a roast dinner and then it’s an early night to try and get our body clocks back to some kind of normality before Monday.
