Please can we chat about it on this thread :)

I've seen them 2009 at Glastonbury
2010 - Milton Keynes Bowl
2010 - V Festival

So epic, I often watch old videos on YouTube and think I would probably die if I went to a Prodigy gig now!

I saw them when they supported Oasis in Cork. It was 1996 I think.
Amazing show.

LostFrog · 31/12/2021 09:03

@Mudday sweaty hugs to you Grin

Ducksareruiningmypatio · 31/12/2021 09:08

1992 a little local gig, I was 13 Grin
We drank half pints of cider and stayed at the back away from the guys that were obviously off their tits!

@Addictinsane fun activity for you later on

Survivingmy3yearold · 31/12/2021 09:17

I saw them at Download 2012 Grin Blew every other band that weekend out of the water. A lot of metal heads were moaning that they shouldn't be headlining a festival like download but they had the biggest audience and by far the best energy! Gutted Keith's gone though Sad

Agreed!

My late partner gave them one of their first gigs when she was a senior sub warden at university - they played a Hall of Residence ball Grin I think this was around 1991. She always maintained they were some of the politest young men she ever met Grin

SunsetSmartmeter · 31/12/2021 11:07

I meant to say, they slept on the floor of her subwarden digs and made her & her then girlfriend breakfast the next morning! This was Leicester University. Re-thinking dates it was either Christmas 1990 or summer 1991.

NoSquirrels · 31/12/2021 11:13

Me too!
MagentaMushrooms · 31/12/2021 11:15

Oh man this thread is making me wish I'd gone to more of their gigs... I saw them at MK Bowl too, with my mum who is also a fan! Best gig I've ever been to.

NorthernChinchilla · 31/12/2021 11:20

Thanks to all who identified the gig Smile
Knew it wasn't the GMEX, obviously, but couldn't remember for the life of me where it was!

Linwin · 31/12/2021 11:42

Glastonbury 1995, they were bloody amazing.
Only got tickets as the Stone Roses were supposed to headline but one of them broke a leg or something so it was The Cure headlining instead. So disappointed but seeing The Prodigy was the highlight of the weekend.

RickyZooom · 31/12/2021 11:45

I’ve seen them a few times but one set that stands out for me was V 2005(?) - it was either Prodigy or Oasis headlining. I chose the Prodigy and then Oasis split up a short while later and I was gutted! Always regretted it, especially as I saw the Prodigy again several times. BUT - since Keith has sadly passed away, I’m glad I saw them then, it was an epic set. Brings back so many happy memories of being young and wasted in a field Halo

Salahdor · 31/12/2021 13:10

Rickyzooom we saw oasis headlining at V before they split and they weren’t great so you choose wisely! After they split we both said that explained the lack of chemistry etc during the gig.

Evilpixie41 · 31/12/2021 13:44

I had tickets to see them back in 1996. Never went as my boyfriend dumped me a few days before and gave my ticket away.

Not taking the opportunity to see them again is a huge regret. They are a long time gave band (I'm now 41 and been into them since i was about 14) and Keith was/is one of my biggest celeb favourites people. I was devastated when he passed.

I watch their live show on YouTube now and then.

Addictinsane · 31/12/2021 15:36

Funny story about MK Bowl, I ordered tickets for my ex, his friend and I to go, he didn't have a bank account at the time as he was bankrupt Hmm so he transferred me money.. I then found out he was cheating on me with the most disgusting, fat mess and he had 3 secret children. I had the tickets, I blocked his cheating arse after finding out and took my best friend and her boyfriend at the time who had the most immense E tablets 😂. Had the fucking time of our lives and the fucker had paid for it, knob.

Saw them at T in th Park I think it was 1995 or 6...

Hazy memory😂

ipswichwitch · 31/12/2021 17:24

Saw them at Newcastle arena I think in 1997 - was at uni and me and a flatmate took a Greek flatmate and his friend along. Was the first gig they’d ever been to and it was immense! We had an absolute blast, and I’m sure we could still hear them 3 days later 😂
Second time was at V, maybe 2008? Again they were epic. I’d read this thread late last night and had to blast their music on the way to work this morning, boss asked why I looked so happy coming to work today!

Pebbledashery · 31/12/2021 21:50

My nye this evening.. Watching the mk bowl gig..

If you were lucky enough to see The Prodigy live..
YellowBees234 · 31/12/2021 22:04

Saw them at Blackpool circa 1996. Chemical Brothers were supporting. It was my first proper gig, loved it.

purdypuma · 31/12/2021 22:59

Saw the prodigy at Creamfields 2013...absolutely fantastic experience & fulfilled a lifetime dream as have been a fan of theirs since the beginning & the experience album. Was gutted when Keith passed. The Prodigy truly are legends & dance/rave wouldn't have got to where it is today without them!

poorbuthappy · 31/12/2021 23:23

So have just spent 10 mins on the gig list and can not find where I'm sure I saw them in college. So christ only knows who the hell I saw!!

Spudbitch · 01/01/2022 03:06

Seen them a few times early 90s at various raves before they became mainstream can't remember that much but amazing music and vibe best was at energy 1991/92 I think
