Please can we chat about it on this thread :)

I've seen them 2009 at Glastonbury
2010 - Milton Keynes Bowl
2010 - V Festival

So epic, I often watch old videos on YouTube and think I would probably die if I went to a Prodigy gig now!

Last time I saw them was November 2015 in Sheffield. Amazing live.

I was at glasto 2009. Wasn't their light show amazing? Do you remember Michael Jackson died that weekend? I loved madness and blur too.

@EgonSpengler2020

I saw them live at a festival where I was working at a paramedic. I saw about half the set before having to resuscitate a young man from a ghb overdose in the pits area. I like to think we resuscitated him to 'take me to them hospital', but probably not. I then missed most of the rest of the set whilst transferring him to the field hospital (I was very disappointed). My patient spent the night on a ventilator in ICU and missed the rest of the festival.
Big respect to you.

Reading 1996. Also saw Underworld that weekend. Would give a lot to time travel and relive those days.
I made a jealous intake of breath when I heard that. DH asked what was up, his response when I read out your post ‘the lucky fuckers!’

He’s always been jealous I got to see both live (was nearly a decade later before we met) and his GF at the time wouldn’t go to gigs unless it was a boyband Grin

Eslteacher06 · 30/12/2021 20:20

Saw them at the GMEX 1997. Was squashed against someone on the crash barrier with an armpit in my face. Keith came right up to us. Also missed the last bus and had to get a ridiculously expensive taxi home! But it was a great gig ☺️

RiderGirl · 30/12/2021 21:12

I saw them at the Isle of Wight festival in the mid 2000s. They were bloody amazing and I was absolutely smashed!

lostinabook · 30/12/2021 21:14

1996 (?) At Cambridge Corn Exchange...I thought I was on a date. I wasn't. I smoked Menthol cigarettes and My Dad picked us up!

@HippyChickMama

Phoenix 96, they played two sets on consecutive days, first in the dance tent I nearly got crushed in the crowd and then on the main stage. Amazing, the best days ever
Me as well! I was front & centre for their first show at The Phoenix Festival, then almost got crushed once they started their set!

Brilliant, though!

kazza446 · 30/12/2021 21:30

I saw them a V. They were so loud they kept blowing the sound system and I was deaf for 24 hours afterwards!

1996 Brixton Academy
Think I was there too, was epic! It was an all-nighter.
Gruffalogrinch · 30/12/2021 21:39

I also saw them at Knebworth, opening for Oasis. They were phenomenal - and way better than Oasis were!

Gruffalogrinch · 30/12/2021 21:41

@AtillatheHun

Knebworth really showed up how crap Oasis were. For stagecraft, prodigy were unbeatable.
This - with bells on.
AWhistlingWoman · 30/12/2021 21:50

Reading Festival 1998 and 2002? Another lifetime!

olderandwiserx · 30/12/2021 21:55

Lucky enough to see them at V. Amazing

DixieSun · 30/12/2021 21:59

Saw them lots of times at illegal raves and then supporting Oasis. It was too big a crowd for Oasis and their stuff got lost but Keith and co fucking rocked it.

@Eslteacher06 and @LividLaVidaLoca
I saw them at GMEX in Dec 97 too!
It was amazing! I was 17 and we were right on the barrier. The support was the Foo Fighters 😍

mollymcguire · 30/12/2021 22:23

@HiGunny god was it 97, I was just googling! It was just magic that day, the atmosphere! Have done slane many times but nothing beats that day.

userxx · 30/12/2021 22:27

V festival and the MEN, Didn't think they'd pull off the MEN but they rocked it in true prodigy style. The crowds were going fucking mad.

I was another one at Warriors Dance festival at MK Bowl 2010! (Is it really THAT long ago?! 😳)

Was SUCH a good time - my first time seeing Pendulum live (but not the last!) Both the Prodigy and Pendulum blew my socks off and I danced SO hard!
I’m glad I got to see the Prodigy live 💖
