Boxing Day sales - what have you bought?

DS is off to DGP soon, DH has a film fest planned so I have an afternoon of browsing time!

Bought DH a pair of trainers on Schuh last night as they had 20% off and I got a further 20% off with Student Beans

We only bought each other token Xmas gifts and DPIL have given us some cash for Xmas. I'm not usually spendy or a sales trawler - I'm just in the mood!

Quite fancy a hair dryer brush (not Babyliss big hair, mine just died and I wasn't keen in the rotator bit)
Maybe some skin care
Maybe a coat

Looking for shopping company as DH just nods Grin

Bought 2 coats and a few jumpers/warm clothes from Debhenhams online. Pretty good sale. Always forget that they are still online.

Me too. I shunned them because they don't sell the bra I like anymore (massive boobs, only one I've ever found that I love)

Off to look though, I'm in a forgiving mood 🎅

Grrr - do debenhams not have reviews on items anymore? I like to see what people say about sizing etc!

A new compost bin from Amazon... unexciting yet practical!

Moneypennysfreedomfund · 26/12/2021 10:58

A handheld chainsaw I seem to spend a lot of my life chopping and lopping at trees and large bushes and am sick of using a handheld saw. DH is very worried and keeps miming missing fingers …. sigh

thatsallineed · 26/12/2021 11:02

Well I would have been buying a new washing machine as ours packed up on Christmas Eve. It's been crap for months and I had really been looking forward to ditching it for a shiny new one.

Only DH got up early, and fixed the bloody thing.

I noticed that too. I'm taking a risk and hoping it all fits.

Oat milk Grin tbf, it's on sale in H&B and I am running low so more of necessity than fun purchase.

Also got two lovely puzzles that are half prize from Jacques of London for DDs birthday.

LaBellina · 26/12/2021 11:06

A Kipling backpack

Wavypurple · 26/12/2021 11:06

I got five gift sets in the Boots sale, all non Christmas packaging so can be gifted as birthday presents/mother’s day presents.

Got some makeup from the Kylie cosmetics site to be used as birthday gifts too for younger family members.

I don’t need or want anything so nothing for myself though I’ll probably be tempted eventually 😂

Glentheredbeakbattleostrich · 26/12/2021 11:08

I'm tempted by a couple of dresses in the fat face sale.

Off to have a browse while in the car off to family visits.

Deadcanary1 · 26/12/2021 11:16

A couple of Groupon vouchers one for a haircut, and the other for an afternoon tea, 60% off. Also bought a voucher for a local chain of restaurants for £100, paid £80. That"s it for now!

Workyticket · 26/12/2021 11:17

I hate the Debenhams website and app! I'm 43 and chubby. I don't want Nasty Gal and Boohoo (just googled and apparently both of their sizing is shit) but can't filter them out.

TheFairyCaravan · 26/12/2021 11:39

Some bedding and a pan.

We’re moving house so I’ve bought the bedding for my new bedroom.

SnowdropSally · 26/12/2021 12:08

2 new Christmas trees for next year, Christmas bedding for next year, Christmas tablecloths and runners for next year and a pair of black leather boots.

Workyticket · 26/12/2021 15:06

I have a few things in various baskets but haven't bought a thing yet!

I do need bedding though - ours are tatty and I have John Lewis vouchers from our wedding.

Debenhams don't have their own-brand clothing any more though, like Debenhams Collection or Red Herring.

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 26/12/2021 16:49

A bag I’d hinted heavily at for Christmas.

Happy Christmas to me Xmas Smile

Mayvis · 26/12/2021 17:00

I bought a Christmas themed serving plate from Emma Bridgewater. Haven’t been tempted by anything else yet.

Workyticket · 26/12/2021 17:32

Just bought loads on the Audible sale but nothing 'real' from shops yet still!

I need a new tumble dryer but we're away and won't be able to receive a delivery for a couple of weeks, I guess I will have missed the sales by then?

Does anyone know anywhere with a long lead time for delivery?

IncyWincyGrownUp · 26/12/2021 17:37

I bought a tumble dryer. Only £20 off, but one that I’d been pondering buying to replace the trash Indesit hunk of junk currently lurking in my kitchen.

Quirrelsotherface · 26/12/2021 17:43

A Christmas Emma Bridgewater and a hype jumper for DS2
