Boxing Day sales - what have you bought?

DS is off to DGP soon, DH has a film fest planned so I have an afternoon of browsing time!

Bought DH a pair of trainers on Schuh last night as they had 20% off and I got a further 20% off with Student Beans

We only bought each other token Xmas gifts and DPIL have given us some cash for Xmas. I'm not usually spendy or a sales trawler - I'm just in the mood!

Quite fancy a hair dryer brush (not Babyliss big hair, mine just died and I wasn't keen in the rotator bit)
Maybe some skin care
Maybe a coat

Looking for shopping company as DH just nods Grin
@TwinklyBranch Orrr... use the sales to buy stuff you do need but cheaper than usual?

I have bought skincare and a water flosser :D
exactly! now's the time to buy the stuff you need at a cheaper price.

Also a weighted blanket from JL I’ve had my eye on for a year….half price Xmas Grin

MilitantFaucet · 27/12/2021 09:45

Christmas wrapping paper half price
Makeup and skincare that I use daily half price
Clothes for nieces and nephews who live abroad

Only one flippant purchase - a summer dress that I think will be lovely on holiday (if we get there) less than half price

A bean to cup coffee machine. It was a big investment for us, but as soon as I saw I could pay in installments on Amazon and it was on sale price, I was very happy!

It arrives tomorrow. Very excited as our current pod machine has been leaking and making warm coffee for weeks. We wanted to get away from pods as they are wasteful.

@Blossomtoes

A dress from Toast I’ve been lusting after - nearly half price.
Which one? I am also eyeing a couple

That reminds me, I must go card shopping. Already got loads of boxed cards but I try to buy my “ special” cards in the sale eg Mum & Dad, Husband etc. Plus I need to look on the Boots website & collect stuff in store or just pop into town if I can be bothered.
Ordered a beautiful teal velvet short dress from Monsoon. It was only £21 off but couldn’t resist & hoping it fits as I’m going to a wedding next year.

Can I ask which one? I have a pod one, but even though the pods are recycled it seems really wasteful.

But also, I don't want to spend ages cleaning one either Grin

40 balls of yarn that cost the delivery price of £3.50. Voucher paid for the rest, which were sale price anyway.

Stocked up the kids winter wardrobe for next year. Got lots of lovely pieces from H&M, River Island, Zara and Gap. The Next sale was a bit naff but I got a few cute pieces from there. They’re sorted now for next winter 😄 I did the same in the summer sale so their summer wardrobes are sorted.

onedayoranother · 27/12/2021 12:13

I didn't get any presents on Christmas (widow, sisters live abroad and always late in sending anything), so I bought myself two scarves from Liberty 50% off and jewellery from Selenchast (inexpensive already but another 40% off).

Puffalicious · 27/12/2021 12:22

Ordered a good, few bits from the Boden sale last night. I really need new jeans, so a few pairs to try, and practical bretons that will go with everything. Despite spending a chunk I was seriously pissed off at paying p&p. Change your policy for loyal customers Boden!

Bagadverts · 27/12/2021 12:26

A mattress protector and couple of pairs of boots.

user290814356289 · 27/12/2021 12:29

I bought a new waterbottle.

@TwinklyBranch

Literally nothing. I don't waste money on crap I don't need.
Me neither, I spend money on crap I do need Grin
