What’s your favourite swear word?

And least favourite?

My favourite is “bollocks”. I overuse it though. For every tiny mistake / dropping / forgetting incident. It rolls around the mouth beautifully Grin

Not too keen on “bitch” because of context of use.

What’s yours?

Cunt is my favourite.

biggirlknickers · 24/12/2021 15:22

Cunt is amazing I agree. Surprises me when people say they don’t like it. Cunts.

Ballsack is a new one I’ve learned on this thread - will be storing it up for future usage!

'Piss' is my go to frustrated expletive.
'fucktard' is someone who has annoyed me massively.
And yes, I drop the 'C' word occasionally. Sorry. Not sorry 😉🎄

100problems · 24/12/2021 15:31

I work in a secondary school. My favourite teacher experience was when a grizzled Chemistry teacher, who had had a particularly trying morning, slammed into my office and managed to get "cunt" into a sentence as a noun, verb and adjective before politely asking for a biscuit.

Redcrayons · 24/12/2021 15:36

Shite is my favourite but Fuck is a timeless classic.

Wolfiefan · 24/12/2021 15:38

Fuck!
@meow1989 many people would say bloody is swearing!

meow1989 · 24/12/2021 15:43

@wolfiefan I know but I need something! It was in equal parts hilarious and mortifying when ds started shouting about people being "bloody ratbags" full volume in a garden centre recently Blush

Wolfiefan · 24/12/2021 15:44

🤣🤣🤣🤣
I felt very prim and proper saying “oh rude words” until I realised my kids would be telling all and sundry that mummy said “rude words”!

Eminybob · 24/12/2021 15:48

My favourite and most overused was probably fuck and fucking. It’s weird that since I’ve had dc swearing doesn’t come as naturally to me as it used to and it sounds odd coming out of my mouth now.

My least favourite, although not really a swear word, is fart. I can’t abide it. It’s feels so awkward and cringe. We say trump in this house Grin

Darningfever · 24/12/2021 15:48

Mines arsehole. But I picked that up from my old boss who called everyone an arsehole. I rarely swear, so he was pretty delighted with himself when I picked that up from him.

Omicrone · 24/12/2021 15:53

Mine is bollocks. Love it, and it's so versatile as well.

It can be used in a plain old 'oh bollocks' way, 'that's bollocks' when someone is talking shit, 'it's bollocksed' if something is broken, if something is really good it's 'the bollocks' and, my favourite, you can give sosomeone 'a huge bollocking'.

Perfect.Smile

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 24/12/2021 16:03

@biggirlknickers ...if you like ballsack try ballbags .

"Oh ballbags" is DD's favourite (young adult, not a swearing toddler!)

britneyisfree · 24/12/2021 16:08

Fuck. It's my favourite word generally. I like most swear words, I developed a bad habit in year 7 and 20 odd years later I've not given it up!Hmm

TwistedOlivers · 24/12/2021 16:33

Cunt

I like it so much that I have a bangle inscribed with
'Sometimes It's Ok To Be A Cunt'

And I am, most of the time

Oh and Bollocks....that just rolls off the tongue quite nicely!

autieok · 24/12/2021 16:54

Wank face usually aimed at my oh 😂😂

autieok · 24/12/2021 16:55

Least favourite any of the derogatory ones to women - bitch, slut etc

IcedAbstinente · 24/12/2021 16:55

Cuntychops.

This will out me if my colleagues are on here but I refer to a rival firm as 'Cuntychops and Co'. (They are deceitful underhand bastards).

emmetgirl · 24/12/2021 17:02

Definitely bollocks.

ZaZathecat · 24/12/2021 17:55

I love the word Arse, it always makes me smile.
Can't get used to c**t becoming so common, and it feels very aggressive.

Fetchthevet · 24/12/2021 18:00

Bollocks

I also like calling people moronic bastards.

MissMatty2hats · 24/12/2021 18:04

Pissflaps, so satisfying to say and suits so many situations. You can’t really aim it at someone though, more of a situational thing so it has its limitations.

KissedintheDark · 24/12/2021 18:10

Mine is bastard. Said with venom it sounds like the pinnacle of swearing, And it's less effort, just the one breath needed. I find it perfect for the stubbed toe, missing a step when going upstairs, burned sausage moments.

AuntieStella · 24/12/2021 18:22

Bugger

and fuckadoodledoo

Bastard only sounds good in a Sean Bean style northern accent. It just doesn't work for me with my crappy Southern tones.
