I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day is one I find annoying when it comes on.

Baby it's cold outside - particularly the Tom Jones and Cerys matthews version. Hard to articulate how much I hate it

For a song that makes me feel unclean whenever I hear this version takes that and magnifies it. Tom Jones is sleezy anyway but this, yuck.

I think they should have a trial next year. No Christmas music post 1970.

We could get to hear all the lovely older songs rather than all the ones listed many times over in this thread that have been played to death.

Do They Know it’s Christmas Time is worse though because, as Bob Geldof was told before he released it, giving a bunch of money to a dictator was a terrible idea. It allowed a dictator to buy a whole bunch of weapons and feed nobody. But I suppose Geldof got an ego boost.

I’ve revised my earlier response which was basically, I hate all of them. I’ve heard two this year I don’t mind so much - When the Thames Froze (Smith and Burrows) and Winter Song by Sam Fender, the rest can go in the bin.

Whenever they say "2000 miles" by the Pretenders is coming up on the radio I always think it's "I would walk 500 miles" by the Proclaimers and get annoyed

Just heard an appalling version of "Christmas Wrapping " by the Spice Girls ...re written, duff lyrics and Mel C surprisingly bland ..the original by the Waitresses is fab ...
Also KimWyld and Mel Smith doing some carolling in an old fashioned way while eating pumpkin pie makes me boak .Merry Christmas one and all 🎅
