Me and DS watched Nativity 2 today and Mr Poppy is the worst. I’m not sure how anyone can think he’s a good role model for the kids and he’s just so bleedin’ incompetent. The bit where the kids are walking through the woods, go into the cave and then abseil down the cliff had me shouting at the tv (yep probably a bit over invested 😂).

Keira Knightley in love actually. Loves herself and full of herself.

Looking at this we could just have a character from Richard Curtis films that are annoying. There’s a lot of them 😉

Jack Black's character in the Holiday. Or maybe it's just Jack Black I don't like, I haven't seen him in much else.

Keira knightly in Love actually when she watches herself in the wedding video then says in her twee way 'I look quite pretty' makes me want to punch the screen every time !!

Came on to say Buddy from Elf and then you reminded me of Mr Poppy. Ugh.

I didn't used to mind him, now I have no respect at all for him. He's probably gutted.

Saw it last night but the 'Capishe?' guy from Die Hard - Ellis I think he's called? I said to my husband 'I'm glad he gets shot.'

Oh yes Harry Potter too. All the characters that can't act piss me off... which is quite a few of them, especially in the early films.

It's a fun comedy - he's not meant to be a realistic portrayal of your average teaching assistant.

If you want bad then see the most recent Nativity film, Nativity Rocks! where Mr Poppy has been replaced by his 'brother'. I can only guess that the original actor saw the script and gave it a hard pass....

OP- I agree about the health and safety shockers in Nativity 2. No life jackets in the boat, white water rafting with under 10s and a baby, abseiling with ropes and no safety harnesses. Wtf?! Can’t believe the censors thought that was ok.

Didn't like the character in the book much either - too nutritious and self-assured (not a bad quality but there was something about her manner that annoyed me - like one of those students at university who always eats well, goes to study groups, has a university scarf, and is always on-track and confident about what they're doing for the current assignment), but the film portrayal was so wet and nothing like what she was supposed to be.

I'll agree with a lot of these. I'll add the annoying guy with the mullet in the Walking Dead (can't remember his name).

I am a massive Harry Potter fan but most of the characters are annoying. I’m sure as an 11-18 year old, I was incredibly annoying though.

Muriel's dad in 'Muriel's Wedding'. In fact, I find the whole film depressing.

Agree with Mrs Doubtfire. Obviously, the husband, Robin William's character, is the character I can't stand, for multiple reasons.

Yes!

Watched it recently with DD and although I still love Muriel and Rhonda I realised the dad was emotionally abusing his whole family to the point where his wife took her own life.

Bryony from Atonement. I have never hated a character as much as her.
