Do you put presents under the tree?

Me and OH have this same disagreement every year! He likes to put them under the tree Christmas Eve night and I just like to put them
Under the tree when they are wrapped, so they are out of the way! I can't even get into the bloody cupboard.

Kids aren't too fussed about "santa" and know we get them presents but I do put the little stocking fillers out on Christmas Eve night and say santa brought them.

What do you do with yours?

Non food goes under the tree once it’s decorated - yes, finished wrapping before the tree has been decorated! Anything foody is out of dogs’ reach not under the tree!

Christmas Eve when everyone has gone to bed.

Fuck no, my cats love to unwrap shit. It is usually foil from defrosting meat in the kitchen but they arent fussy

Under the tree as soon as they're wrapped. It would be too difficult to find hiding places that won't tear the wrapping paper etc. Nearly finished wrapping which is a first for me. Dc have been squeezing and trying to guess which is part of the fun.

Nothing goes out until Xmas eve in this house. Mainly because I can't hoover under the tree once the presents are there

Santa brings all the present Xmas Eve so they are under the tree when the kids wake up. I imagine that would still be the case even if they where adults 😜

Under the tree as soon as they are wrapped except the stocking presents which are done on Christmas eve

Some are under from dh to me and vice versa.
Presents for dc appear Xmas morning.

But I have children who are weirdly able to ignore something when I tell them/or they decide it's not something they should care about yet (eg. I've never had to tell them to stay away from sharp knives/the stairs/the fire either more than once), and cats who don't care about presents.

I put them under the tree before wrapping them, unless the parcel displayed the contents! Then when the kids were asleep, opened parcels and either consolidated presents so there were fewer parcels or took presents out of parcels so I wasn't storing air and packaging. Then I wrapped and wrapped and wrapped.

FC gifts are hidden in our wardrobe/boot of our car and will be set out Christmas Eve without wrapping.
