For me, it has to be Robbie Williams.. I feel irate when I hear him on the radio. I will never ever like his voice.

hard hat

RobertSmithsLipstick · 21/12/2021 12:35

Buddy Holly.

bigbeatmanifesto · 21/12/2021 12:35

Oh god I forgot about Bublé. All I heard yesterday on the radio was
'coming up after the break abit of Bublé'
I shuddered at the thought and switched channels.

MrsPeterVenkman · 21/12/2021 12:36

Lana Del Rey is a pointless human being

Van Morrisson - nasal
Cilla Black - nasal and forced
James Blunt - just plain irritating

@RonniePickering

Whoever said Sharlene Spiteri (Texas) are you mad? She's a goddess, her voice live is incredible and THAT video with Alan Rickman

Definitely this ❤️

Just had to google thsi video, oh my. That is hot. Although if they had a chauffeur why did Charlene fill the car up?
WorraLiberty · 21/12/2021 12:37

Janis Joplin

She sounds like a lump of coal stuck under a cellar door.

@Mochudubh

I'll put my hard ha on but I can't stand Elvis! Apart from some of his later stuff I just think he sounds like a bull bellowing to the cows in the next field.

I'll get my coat.

I’d go one further and say Paul McCartney

I’m with you there! Just don’t understand the appeal!

This is true, but I kind of like her voice, anyway.

@RobertSmithsLipstick, but aren't you fascinated by the general bizarreness of Wee Daniel's latest offering, 'Down at the Lah-Dee-Dah'? The video is like something someone dreamed up while having a nervous breakdown in a Tiki-themed episode of The Wiggles.

Donelurking · 21/12/2021 12:52

Bob Dylan - leaves me cold.

Icecreaminwinter · 21/12/2021 13:00

Katherine Jenkins. If you close your eyes and just listen, she makes the most horrible sound which actually hurts my head.

Also Sam Smith and Adele. Screechy and waily and you can’t hear the actual words.

Exhausteddog · 21/12/2021 13:05

I started watching Michael Bublé at (iirc) the rockerfeller Centre on TV at the weekend. I don't mind a cheesy bublé Christmas song on the radio but watching him was the ultimate cringefest. It was unbearable, I had to turn off.

LifesABotch · 21/12/2021 13:07

Ellie Goulding

oldperson1 · 21/12/2021 13:08

Bjork
Paloma Faith

Hubcapdiamondstarhalo · 21/12/2021 13:12

Mark Owen. Horribly nasal and whiney. Have to skip the TT tracks he sings on.
Mick Jagger
Diana Ross
Ringo Starr
Phil Collins - Te-te-tedious

Lansonmaid · 21/12/2021 13:13

Freddie Mercury was awesome.....how very dare anyone say otherwise!

George Ezra really grates, his diction is awful. And a lot of female singers nowadays just think you have to screech and caterwaul to be successful. They all sound the same.....personally I love Julie Covington and Maddy Priors voices. Very pure and unforced

Lipsandlashes · 21/12/2021 13:15

Mariah Carey
Sean Paul
Robbie Williams

RobertSmithsLipstick · 21/12/2021 13:16

I don't believe I've had the pleasure of Daniel's latest musical masterpiece, @Corbally.
I'm off to have a little listen to "Down at the lah di Dah" now. Grin

Icecreaminwinter · 21/12/2021 13:16

Elton John. Since his ‘I’m dill danding’ staccato performance in lockdown, I can hear it in his new song Merry Christmas with Ed Sheeran.

AuntMasha · 21/12/2021 13:17

Lily Allen
Madge
Kylie
Adull
Paloma Faith
Anyone who does that breathy, whimsical singing.

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 21/12/2021 13:17

Gabrielle and Macy Gray
Paul Young
Not such a problem these days!
