@Palavah

Jive Bunny Swing the Mood 1989 sampling Rock around the Clock from 1954, 35 years later.

1989 is 32 years ago, almost the same gap again. Sheesh.

Now be quiet with your lies you Grin

Sonya!!!

I remember to flying to Paris with work and she was on the plane in first class.

Were we nice? No we weren’t😳 We we’re totally pissed and were shouting Sonya in a scouse accent, all the way from Paris to Manchester.

I cringe now🙈 we were all about 23 or 4.

Classica · 17/12/2021 20:41

Yeah I think Sonia did the Eurovision at some point in the mid 90s. Don't think she was too successful Grin

Classica · 17/12/2021 20:42

Oh I loved (still love) that Richard Marx song. Thought it was so romantic when I was 11.

WeAreTheHeroes · 17/12/2021 20:42

She did indeed. She has a reputation for being a right diva too.

I loooooooooooove Ride on Time!

WeAreTheHeroes · 17/12/2021 20:43

Sonia came second at Eurovision which is a darn sight better than most of our entries!

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 17/12/2021 20:43

Chune!

Poor little Our Sonya Grin

Did she react?

Count me out. I thought the late 80s was the nadir for music. Pete Waterman was a good entrepreneur I acknowledge, but only one of the SAW stable had any talent, Rick Astley.

I wholeheartedly apologise to Son! I'd assumed she'd bombed.
ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 17/12/2021 20:45

No she ignored us.

We just got louder and louder, crying with laughter.

It must have well pissed her off! Ah them were the days, being let lose in Europe with no boss to control usGrin

WeAreTheHeroes · 17/12/2021 20:45

I agree - Rick's voice is even better now.

WeAreTheHeroes · 17/12/2021 20:46

Ooh - two acts who didn't actually do their own singing within a couple of minutes.

SilverRingahBells · 17/12/2021 20:47

You'll Never Stop Me From Loving You is the creepiest song ever. It makes Every Breath You Take look like a soppy love song.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 17/12/2021 20:48

Yuk, don’t like Lisa Stansfield.

The late '88 '89 were full of SAW (a loooooot) but it was also the time when some really interesting dance music started emerging too.
Builtthiscityonsausagerolls · 17/12/2021 20:49

I used to have a Rosemary Connelly aerobics video with been around the world on it
Just reminds me of 'and get those knees up ladies' Grin
