Trigger warning. This sounds pretty awful frankly.

Wanker 😤

Awful. The accounts, including medical report and treatment, are very credible.

Foul. Amazed that he was never named during #metoo. Loads of industry people must be aware of his behaviour.

RonniePickering · 17/12/2021 09:16

Hopefully it will encourage more victims of his to come forward.

Dearblossom · 17/12/2021 09:26

I think there must be more to come, I think the first in the article above is already over the time, ten years, that he can be prosecuted. Do correct me if I'm wrong. Reddit threads suggest he has been known as a sleaze for some years and there have been a number of 'blinds' (anon online rumours) about him.

dreamingbohemian · 17/12/2021 09:26

Beverly Johnson (the model) accused him of assault and making death threats all the way back in 1995, no one paid attention

Twitter is full of women saying no one who went to NYU in the 2000s is surprised by this (he had a club and flat right by campus)

stalkersaga · 17/12/2021 09:29

Not at all shocked by this. Both accounts are very credible and independently verified, and his own texts put the crowning touch on.

But then again Mike fucking Tyson, who did time for violent rape, still has a showbiz career, so apparently nobody fucking cares. What's a rape conviction or two to a performer?

PlanktonsComputerWife · 17/12/2021 09:30

SPOILER WARNING FOR "AND JUST LIKE THAT"

....

I wonder if they had an inkling and wrote him out of the SATC reboot in the way they did.

KoreyBay18 · 17/12/2021 09:34

Zoe Lister Jones had some very interesting things to say about him on her Instagram too.

dreamingbohemian · 17/12/2021 09:48

@PlanktonsComputerWife I think if they'd had an inkling, he would not have appeared at all. They'd get clobbered if it ever came out.

Sailorsgirl44 · 17/12/2021 09:49

This is the first time I have ever heard anything about him... Awful. I hope he is held to account.

bibliomania · 17/12/2021 10:01

I hadn't heard anything previously. Disappointed in what appears to be another predatory man.

Thanks for that. I hope her speaking out gives other women confidence to.

SATC etc will make a statement at some point I guess.

People have been talking about this for a while. It’s amazing how famous men keep it all from blowing up somehow.
I feel like it should be getting more coverage.
It’s horrible, but I’m not surprised.

SparklingLime · 17/12/2021 10:21

SATC knew. How couldn’t they? Not that these two cases were about to break, but they knew that he was a predatory and sexually abusive man.

Vapeyvapevape · 17/12/2021 10:36

Sickening- I hope they get justice

Zoe Lister-Jones also said that when she worked with him on Law & Order post SATC, he was drunk and drinking on set, as well as creepy. Everyone who worked with him knew.
User20393442 · 17/12/2021 10:45

It's additionally repulsive that he openly admitted to both encounters as "consensual" and they took place after he was married. His poor wife and kids. Bet he regrets taking part in SATC reboot! Without that he could have quietly slipped under the radar and all this forgotten.

It also reminds me of the sexual assault allegations against Ed Westwick /Chuck Bass (Gossip Girl). Why are men who play heartthrob roles such vile beings in real life!

stalkersaga · 17/12/2021 10:46

Big was always an arrogant arsehole Big Swinging Dick, though. But rich, so that was okay! Why women find that attractive I will never understand.

User20393442 · 17/12/2021 10:53

Trigger warning and apologies for the DM link. There is far more detail in this article and it sounds sickening. I'm actually shocked they are allowed to report this openly and no idea why he is not being investigated or not being cancelled for it:

www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10317761/Sex-Citys-Chris-Noth-accused-sexual-assault-two-women.html

Pretty shit PR for the show as well, considering its controversial start and doom and gloom storylines for everyone. SATC used to be funny, frivolous escapism that people loved in a post 911 world. Now it's woke, depressing bullshit with death, addiction and illness are core themes and they expect people to enjoy that during a pandemic with the largest wave of destruction still looming.

You know, it's threads like these that help to ruin people's lives. He hasn't been found guilty of it, but yet you're all behaving as though guilty as charged. Appalling behaviour

Rape is what is appalling and ruins people's lives. His text message to her is appalling.

So are these women making it up then ?

As long as rape conviction rates are like 1% I'm going to believe women instead of the 'justice' system
HeartOfClass · 17/12/2021 12:07

I'm also very suspicious of these legacy reports. It's so long ago. It makes it even more scary when they appear in media and allegations assumed to be true, trial by media etc.

However when I was raped, (for a number of reasons) I did not report or discuss with people at the time, until many many years later. I really wished I had done it at the time.

My inclination, for better or worse, is to believe the people reporting based on my own personal experience.
