I'm a bit nervous,

Dh is out, I've got the TV to myself, really hungry and dh said treat myself to a takeaway but I'm nervous about answering the door on my own with children asleep. Am I being silly.

Have chosen what I want we've used this place before so I know they are good I just need to woman up and ring lol

Anyone else enjoy a takeaway by themselves?

Often treat myself when DH goes out. You’ll be fine, go for it!

I do. Sometimes I like to order a dominos pizza with garlic bread. I think it's good to treat yourself once in a while.

Being very silly - single folk, folk with partners on nightshift, folk with family out at events - all order takeaways while in the house with or without children. Get your favourite and think no more about it!!

I always order through apps to avoid the whole calling up, so I understand. Have you ordered? And what have you ordered?

I order a takeout once a week for myself. I haven't even thought about it.

Mmmmm back when the dc were little if dh was occasionally away overnight I would do that sometimes, put the dc to bed then get a takeaway, it felt gloriously indulgent. Go for it.

Neither the shop or delivery driver will know or care, and even if they did, so what?

What? I always do this. When DH goes out I look forward to my takeaway for one. We have Deliveroo/UberEats so always use that

If you order in just eat or Deliveroo you can place on the notes for them to leave it on the doorstep! You don’t have to see them!

Enjoy your treat I find it so decadent to order myself. I usually hide my leftovers so I don’t have to share them and the sadness in DH’s eyes as he eats his shitty toast as I wander in with leftover biryani is usually the best bit of the takeaway.

bloody hell do you ever do anything by yourself? Sit in a cafe? Go to a restaurant? Go to the theatre? If ordering a takeaway seems a step to far. How odd.
