What is your favourite conspiracy theory?
835

julieca · 06/12/2021 21:38

I love the crazy conspiracy theories. So my favourite ones are that birds arent real and that Paul McCartney is dead and the man we see now is a lookalike.
What about you?

The problem with the (multiple) Bill Gates theories is that no-one can really answer credibly what's in it for him.

If the moon landings were faked the Russians and Chinese would have proved it to discredit the US. It would be a huge coup for them.

I haven't heard the Finland one before but that's now my favourite conspiracy theory.

Strangely enough, Joan Rivers says that Michelle Obama is transexual in a short clip video, and she died shortly after.

So you think the surgeon was paid off by the Obamas to kill her and said "yeah, no worries"? It's not as though JR didn't have form. If this was true it would 100% have come out before BO became president.

I don't think anything one way or another.
It's just stuff that was shown to me.

That the reason so many teens are exploring being transgender is because of the BPA “gender bending chemicals” in plastic before BPA free became a thing.

Faul McCartney is my favourite one. Oh and they there are 2 Prince Harry’s and their different ears give it away.

@Viviennemary

I only started bring suspicious of the moon landings a few years ago. The footage looks absolutely fake. Its easily found on you tube. Over 50 years since the moon landings and no other manned craft has been back since.

I bet somewhere on YouTube there is faked 'fake moon landings' footage.Grin

I asked my friend about why the flat earth thing, and she said it is because the world is being run by psychopaths, and they are just chipping away at everything people know to be true, seeing how much they can get away with, and how many can be manipulated into believing rubbish.

So if the Titanic was swapped with her sister ship the Olympic, does that mean I've had my brekkie in a room recycled from the Titanic and they should rename it?

Others I just find very sad. The people I know who believe them are just unable to cope with real life, they're invariably damaged and vulnerable individuals who have to believe what they do as some sort of self preservation and coping mechanism.

Depends which others, though? Many people have it firmly in their heads that believing (or considering) any conspiracy theories is the sign of an unwell or crazy person - whether it's the replacing pigeons' batteries or royal reptilian ones or suspicions about the true manner of Robin Cook and David Kelly's deaths.

Conspiracies do exist - otherwise people would not be arrested and found guilty of 'conspiracy to [commit a crime]'. What leads to the initial inquiries and arrests if not technically 'conspiracy theories'?

For example, I don't think anybody doubts that it was a conspiracy that led to 9/11 - it's just a case of whom you believe was responsible for that conspiracy.

People don't like to believe that the USA could have been responsible for killing their own citizens, but when you have potential issues such as a tower being reported as having collapsed whilst it's still standing, learner pilots achieving feats that ace pilots with many years of experience have stated they couldn't have confidently done, passports surviving unscathed where metal has burnt to a crisp, the Patriot Act being all oven-ready to bring in straight afterwards....

Regardless of what straightforward explanations there may be for these things, I really don't see why you can blanket-accuse anybody who questions them of being a friendless, vulnerable person with severe mental health problems.

Jimmy Savile was an open secret at the BBC. He spent over a decade of Christmas Days with Margaret & Dennis Thatcher and was a trusted advisor to Charles & Diana, but you'd have to be crazy to assume that he was anything but an enigmatic lone wolf, wouldn't you? Same with another certain royal who's currently hiding very low indeed: is it only the absolute crazies who question if, just maybe, something terrible and criminal might have been going on with him in cahoots with his powerful friends?

I think it's just as ridiculous believing that there are NO far-reaching conspiracies going on in the world as it is to believe that ALL of them are true.

phantom time hypothesis. Apparently back in the middle ages 297 years were added to the calender by . I think it was 614 that became the year 911
Therefore if this true, that would make the year 1724.

@Pyewackect

That the DofE gave instructions to MI6 to bump Diana Spencer off. And I’ve met ppl who actually believe it. That and governments are using the covid vaccination to inject v small tracking devices into the population.

Have you been talking to my brother? He said recently "oh the Royal family had her killed. There's no doubt about that"
Me: " erm..."

I saw that clip. Yes, Joan did have form for saying outrageous things, but that was the single clip that I personally have ever seen of her when she had no twinkle in her eye or voice and sounded deadly serious. Her death was rather strange and unexpected, if you look into it.

Then again, if Michele had been trans, and if there were an official agenda to heavily 'promote' transgenderism, as could easily be believed from what we read on a daily basis, surely they would have been the ideal people to have come out and admitted it. The Obamas are one of the most popular and influential couples in the world and so highly esteemed and 'cool' that, I genuinely think they could have made enormous strides for trans rights and acceptance by just saying "Yes, it's true: what's the big deal?"

Great post (and name) WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll. It annoys me when people dismiss people's genuine and sometimes well-founded questions around official narratives as 'just conspiracy'.

But back to the crazy (as that's what we're really here for) there is a conspiracy theory that David Icke is a conspiracy theory, as in, he comes out with such batshit ideas that he discredits all conspiracy theorists.

I love the one about Paul Mc. There are people who have analysed his ears and say they are proof that he is not the original.

Wasn't there a Dr Who episode about changing batteries in the birds? I assumed that's where the covid/bird battery theory came from. Although I don't know anyone who actually believes it.

Thanks, namechangerino Blush Smile

I've heard of people who believe that David Icke is controlled opposition, along with others like Alex Jones (not the lovely Welsh lady on the One Show!).

If there are genuine conspiracies, what better way would there be to hide them than to have somebody like that spilling all of the beans in public and then immediately following it up with the royals being actual reptiles or whatever?! Easiest way ever to discredit somebody who believes the slightly less wacky stuff with a withering "Oh, so I hear that somebody has been listening to David Icke and his lizard people, hmm?!"

Even the most deluded fantasists say true things a lot of the time - but because of the crazy stuff, nobody believes a single word they ever say.

It does seem a bit strange that, if Icke, Jones and others' assertions about governments and powerful people were true, they would still be allowed a platform to tell everybody (in fact, still be alive).... but then, is that what their powerful handlers want you to think?!?!

Well more critically, in 2006 TG wasn't a cool thing so if MO was trans then it would certainly have been leaked by the Clinton camp to stop BO winning the nomination for the 2008 election. MO has a full life history - it's ridiculous to think that she could be trans and no-one has leaked this/ sold their story etc/ said "oh yeah, well at primary school she was a he"

But they could have made it 'cool', had it been true and had they wanted to. Somebody has to start things like that, so why wouldn't a powerful and well-liked celebrity couple be the ideal ones to do it? He was still (technically) in power in 2017, when trans really was starting to become 'cool'. Or any time after leaving office: think how many books they would have sold!

There's also another CT that each president is allowed so many murders, so would anybody who remembered MO as male (if that had been the case) have dared to risk speaking out? Grin Even without the risk of murder, most people know what the consequences can be of crossing an extremely powerful person - that rarely ends well.

Incidentally, was it ever explained whom BO was referring to when he said "Michael and myself" (I forget his exact phrasing)? I like to think that it was Michael Steele from The Bangles Grin

Going on that conspiracy chart, George Bush and Gordon Brown must have been amongst the biggest wackos ever, as they were always going on about their hopes for a New World Order.

Nowhere near as much as David Rockefeller, though, who wrote the following in his memoirs:

"For more than a century, ideological extremists, at either end of the political spectrum, have seized upon well-publicized incidents, such as my encounter with Castro, to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal, working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists,' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years......It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in past centuries.”
