What is your favourite conspiracy theory?

I love the crazy conspiracy theories. So my favourite ones are that birds arent real and that Paul McCartney is dead and the man we see now is a lookalike.

I like the Rotfang Conspiracy: there's a secret movement to bring down the Ministry of Magic from within using a combination of Dark Magic and gum disease and aurors are thought to be part of the conspiracy.
Are Rotfang likely to be stronger than Bilderberg?

Ps Bilderberg is a Secret Organisation, It prints an annual report after it's AGM I am informed.
pps. Yes I have a wide circle of friends. That I nod to and smile to when we meet in the Dog & Duck.

@Rhannion - I know, 24 went to the moon and 12 walked on the moon between 1969 and 1972...just didn't think the details were relevant to the overall point!

This could be an urban legend, but I believe that Buzz Aldrin once "admitted" they were fake when asked in an interview. He said the whole thing was staged but it was so difficult to get the lighting right that they ended up having to go to the moon to stage them.

I really hope this is true. Grin

Facts I learned in 'A' level Physics in the late 60s have been disproved, science is a fluid subject, it will inevitably evolve, look at where we are now and where we were in the MIddle Ages.

Again, science rarely deals in facts. If you’d paid attention in A level physics you would have understood that.

I haven't worked out what quite happened with the 9/11 attacks but in my view they were dreamt up by the US goverment. You are quite right about that daft idea that a Boeing 757 went into the Pentagon. Amazingly, into the segment which was empty due to refurbishment! Building 7 collapsing due to 'fire' (after it was announced that it had collapsed) was also bollocks (it was empty and had been used by the FBI and due for demolition), as were the images of the airliners which went into the Twin Towers which did not even have the right airline livery. I could go on and on, but notably much of the evidence has been removed from U-tube, and what remains has been edited down and the images 'blurred up' as the US goverment continues to hope that everyone accepts the official explanation and time passes. A reason for it all is an attempt to disguise the unexplained disappearance of 3.2 TRILLION USD that the press were asking Rumsfelt and Cheney about days prior to the event, and an opportunity to access oil reserves in the Middle East (Iraq, who had no involvement in the event), and as a cherry in the conspiracy the Twin Towers building risks and insurances were signed over to European insurers (principally the City of London) days prior to the 'attacks'. So WE ended up paying for much of the destruction. Unfortunately our PM at the time was a stupid sucker and accepted it all, and embarassingly aligned us with all this nonsense. He has since made millions in the US for his lecturing and consulting expertise, plus a million dollar salary from a US bank. (He is now worth $60 million.)
You are clearly a troll and / or a fool. How dare you say that those attacks didn’t happen. Didn’t you read the comment earlier in the thread from a poster who lost a friend in the twin towers attacks?

I had to deal on the phone once with a woman once who, with her husband and child, were in one of the first cars to come across the scene. Americans on holiday. She was a client of my company and liked to tell everyone this factoid about herself. They wrote a fictionalized book about it. I think the book might have some conspiracy theory elements. Not sure why I’m prattling on about this, but just remembered.

Diana : the rate in which they cleaned that tunnel, I think, sits uneasily with a lot of sane people. Whether you believe she was pregnant etc is another thing ,but still ….

Epstein did kill himself. He was on his own when he should have had a cell mate to look out for him. The night guards were on the internet and not checking his cell like they should have, and could have saved him. He was in a prison within a prison. You can't just walk in there and kill someone. No one but one person has keys at night, so it would be obvious who did it.

I know these things because I work in a prison

Seems a bit strange that they didn’t bother at all, particularly with such a high profile prisoner who has the potential to give details about the wrongdoings of many very powerful people? Seems far fetched that there was a massive sex trafficking operation going on to benefit the world’s elite powers but that happened so is it that far fetched that his suicide was engineered? I do believe he killed himself but I suspect it was ‘encouraged’ and the guards were purposely ‘looking the other way’

Why do people always accuse Prince Philip of ordering Diana's death? He was the Queen's husband and had very limited power or influence over anything - he had to fight to get his children to have his surname!

The idea that he could pick up the phone to M15 or whoever and order the death of very high profile and much loved woman is just silly. Even the Queen does not have this power!

And for what - dating unsuitable men? Landmines? Why would he care? And what if William becomes King and discovers that the government bumped his mother off on the orders of his grandfather?

If it was possible for the Monarch's husband to have such power then surely they would have arranged for Fergie to have a trip to Paris before Diana.

My personal favourite conspiracy theory is the one about Taylor Swift really being another singer (possibly European can't remember) and taking on her identity.
