School breakfast club. How much do you pay per child, and how long is it for. Does it include food?

I feel like ours is expensive! Primary age.

Free from 8am but £6 per child from 7:30am with toast and cereal

JamMakingWannaBe · 25/11/2021 19:22

Ours was free (school had funding from Gregg's / Kelloggs as it's a deprived area). Now 50p/day from 8am to 8:45am. Cereal, toast and fruit offered. Croissants, pancakes or waffles on Fridays.

Kippersfortea · 25/11/2021 19:22

Just under a fiver whether they are there 5 minutes or 90

YetAnotherWalk · 25/11/2021 19:26

£5 with cereal/toast...

Theseptemberissues · 25/11/2021 19:27

£7.50 from 7:45-8:45. Selection of cereals, toast and pastries.
After school club is £9.50 from 3:15-5:30. Sandwiches, snacks etc and they do activities.

cliffdiver · 25/11/2021 19:27

£3.60.

7.30-8.50am

Toast, cereal, yogurts, fruit, milk and juice/squash.

We're SE England.

Kippersfortea · 25/11/2021 19:28

After school club is £15 whether they stay for 2.5 minutes or 2.5 hours

Noworneverever · 25/11/2021 19:28

£2.50 with standard offerings of cereal/toast, can have seconds if they are hungry. No such thing as after school care at that school, sadly the head thinks all parents work until 2.45-3.00 close by for pick up.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 25/11/2021 19:29

£2. From 8am. After school club is £5 until 5.30pm (5 on a friday).

frogsbreath · 25/11/2021 19:33

£2.50, 8-8.40 am, cereal or toast. After school club is £12.50, if you take both sessions they knock £1 off.

CreepySpider · 25/11/2021 19:38

£5/£5.50 if not booked a week in advance. Last just under an hour and is just toast.

AndSoFinally · 25/11/2021 20:31

7:50-8:20 £1
8:20-8:50 free

South Wales

RosieLemonade · 25/11/2021 21:29

DD's school is £4.50 for the earlier start and breakfast or £2.50 for the later start and breakfast. Like a mug I give DD her meal before she goes as she a 4 course breakfast every day.
My school is free from 8am including breakfast

jerometheturnipking · 25/11/2021 21:31

£9 for 2 DC from 7.30am until school. They get fed their choice of breakfast.

Imabitbusyatthemoment · 25/11/2021 21:32

£4
8 - 8:40 am
Toast or cereal.
What a rip off.

ImFree2doasiwant · 25/11/2021 21:34

Such a massive variation. I was really hoping this would solve my "being late to work" problem. Sadly, I will not be able to afford to pay for it at £5 per child.

Last time my DS went was about 2 years ago. It was £5 or 6.
I can't imagine how ones charging a tiny fee (50p or £1) even cover their costs!!Confused

MondeoFan · 25/11/2021 21:35

£3.50 from 8-9am includes cereal/toast/drink

Exhausteddog · 25/11/2021 21:36

I think after school club was £13 for 3.30-6pm and included a hot meal. No discounts or reduced price if you drop off later or pick up earlier.

Woeismethischristmas · 25/11/2021 21:40

2.50 one hour 10 quid annual registration fee

Mushypeasandchipstogo · 25/11/2021 21:43

Ours was £5 ten years ago in the SE! Can’t believe that people get their’s free!

mrsm43s · 25/11/2021 21:50

Breakfast Club is 7.45am - 8.30am.
£4.50 per day. Siblings - £4.00.

After school club closes at 6.00pm.
Snack tea is provided - (cereal bar, fruit and yoghurt)
£10.20 per day. Siblings - £9.70.

I must say I'm surprised they think that cereal bar, fruit and yog = a "snack tea", it's surely just a snack? You'd need to feed them their tea at home?
Pretty sure no food at all is provided with breakfast club.

TBH, its still going to be cheaper than a childminder, and more convenient. Childcare is expensive in this area (London commuter belt).

Anotherunimaginativeusername · 25/11/2021 21:55

£5 8am - 850am. Toast/cereal, nothing cooked. My child eats at home anyway! I think its a rip off but I'd never get to work on time without it and none of the local childminders have any availability. I'm in a city in the SW.

Puffinhead · 25/11/2021 21:57

Open at 8am to 8.55am (no entry after 8.30am).
£1.50 includes toast/cereal

Missmonkeypenny · 25/11/2021 21:59

£5. 7.30-9am
Breakfast included. Fruits/cereal/toast/crumpets/sometimes even pancakes
