Saturday night drunk thread

I know it's only 6pm, but the kids are at their dads, DS1 (13) is on the xbox and I'm wrapping g Christmas presents with a baileys. It's salted caramel and there's a good chance I'm going ti finish the bottle as its amazing.

Is it not sickly?!!

I have the wine. A lovely Malbec. Sadly I also have the baby so it won’t be a late one. But bloody Christ I missed wine!

I don’t mean ‘sadly I have the baby’ how it sounds! I love the baby, he looks like a slightly grumpy potato. Definitely going to enjoy a wine or two though.

Nothing wrong with a few glasses of wine. I'll be opening a bottle soon once the kids are in bed.

I am debating a trip to B&M Bargains for booze and snacks. But it would mean getting dressed.

I did drop DS2 at the pub in my dressing gown the other week. It was dark, but it's a slippery slope.
I would definitely end up on my town's FB Spotted page if I went to B&M in my dressing gown.
I wish I lived somewhere with Deliveroo.

Unexpectedly I have the house to myself for a couple of hours so I’ve opened a bottle of Sancerre which my wonderful neighbour gave me, also a packed of marshmallow flavour popcorn which I found in one of the DSs rooms. I’m beyond content

I want to try some of Gary Barlow's wine but that's only at Morrisons.

I’m having my first mulled wine of the season. Last year DH found a really good recipe. Obvs I have said he needs to keep experimenting, eg tweaking the spices, to ensure continued supply, but it’s pretty darned satisfactory. . DH and DD are watching the rugby with some mulled wine and I am idly reading the newspaper supplements. Life is good.

The only shop on Uber Eats is Spar, and they're unavailable. I think I'm going to have to get up and go.

Just waiting for my DC to go to bed before having a G&T. I'm feeling hot choc with a shot of brandy before bed too this evening.

Im on my first glass of wine while DH watches the Liverpool match and DS is watching YouTube. Tea tonight is likely just going to be snacks as we can't be bothered cooking so will hopefully be a chilled evening. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend 😊

DH has just popped round to get fish and chips at half time @LittleAtlas I suspect your household happier than ours atm...

What goes best with that lovely meal? Gin? Red wine?

I have to pick up MrZing later tonight (he's at the rugby game in Twickenham) so I couldn't drink even if I wanted to.

Sounds lovely! Yeah he's pretty happy but I think he's more happy that he's able to just watch the match without someone disturbing him haha

I’ve got the wine on the go here, had an M&S beef noodle thing for dinner and am watching strictly.
