Morning all! What's everyone doing today?

I'm in my spot, in the kitchen, drinking my usual cuppa, in silence apart from the fridge humming & a dog barking somewhere.

Both girls are still sleeping but I'll get them up soon-ish. We need to go to Asda for something for tea tonight, and the beginning of the week.

I need to iron, wash up last night's few pots and sweep/mop the floors down here. Dd1 has homework and revision; she'll likely come down and sit with me while she does the homework.

Dd2 wants to carry on watching His Dark Materials so she'll probably do that after Asda.

I need to work out my Christmas shopping costs to go alongside my list & when I'll buy what. I bought the girls' stocking fillers yesterday, and a couple of small things for their dad.

Hopefully I'll find time to carry on with part of my crochet Christmas village, later on.

Not sure what's for tea yet, but I'll probably have a glass of wine with it.

Going to go to the local village shop for the newspaper and croissant.

Dcs have party. I have an appointment and will have look in the charity shop (might search for a few items to donate as trying to avoid too much clutter in our home)

Want to buy a jar or mincemeat and ingredients to make mince pies tomorrow to freeze.

Lazy day for us today I think. I’ve got horrible cramps & just feeling a bit bleurgh so currently on the couch with a hot water bottle. DP will take DSD swimming and then the plan is to have a big clear out of clothes/toys before Xmas.
Not much else planned, pizza for dinner and early night hopefully.

We had a lovely, busy day planned. Then at 5.30 DS10 woke up with a sniffle and tested positive for Covid 😩

Currently sat in the peace with a cuppa relishing the quiet before the madness of the day begins.
My DD now drives and spent the night visiting family so she's not here.
My DS is laid in bed fast asleep but I need to wake him as we have an IKEA wardrobe to build for his room! Pray for me 🤣 Oh and I sold a few things on fb last night which are supposed to be being collected today - so that will be fun!
We did have some lovely plans for tonight, a Christmassy event with my DP and his daughter and me and my 2 kids but it looks like that has fallen through now. In fact I think we might have just had our first falling out in 2 years...
As I said, I'm relishing the stillness.

Yesterday I was decluttering and plan to continue.

DH is away on a stag do, I was supposed to be meeting up with an old friend but her dd tested positive for Covid yesterday so that’s not happening

So, going to be productive and get some decorating done because I really want it finished by Christmas & now I’ve got an unexpected day of no plans.

Going to pick up a spectacularly tacky red CAR BED that will delight my two year old into fits from now to 2027, and completely ruin the aesthetic of our lovely tasteful home.

But that doesn't matter of course, because CAR BED.

I'm just eating some homemade granola and about to nip into sainsburys as we've got no food in the house!
Then I'm driving into London to have lunch with a friend I haven't seen in 2 years. Should be fun... 😁

I'm still in bed but will get up in a minute for a shower and some breakfast. Dc are downstairs playing on consoles. Then we've got their sports club and off to the coast to see my family who are visiting. Hopefully that will go smoothly!

I got up at 4am as I just couldn't sleep. Been for a 13 mile run. About to go to the dentist and this afternoon and this evening I am looking after my nieces as my brother is going away.

Having a late breakfast shortly, then going to church for a double baptism, I’m really excited!

Will be at work 3-7pm ish.

Dinner this evening with a big group of friends as one of them is moving to Qatar at the end of this month We’re a very international group and we all move to a new country every 2-3 years, so it’s a proper goodbye dinner as we most likely won’t be seeing her ever again…

I just had my breakfast and now just doing some laundry. We have a birthday party in the afternoon with my little one so hopefully that will keep him busy. Takeaway for us tonight. Hope everyone has a good day

Still in bed but excited to get up and make some coffee.

I've bought a house and three different tradesmen are coming today to sort out various things that need doing. I will be hauling stuff from my current rental to the new place, and ensuring the work is all done to a high standard/responding to enquiries from the service providers.

Booster jab this morning for me! Have to drive into town for that and have got a few errands to run while I'm there. I'm on the hunt for a new cafetiere as the current one cracked. Probably overuse to be fair 🤣

All very tired so just a lazy Saturday afternoon I think. Children will probably have what we call a "onesie day" so lounge around in onesies, probably get settled with a book etc. Hopefully homework at some point aswell.

Takeaway for dinner. I'll probably wander down into the village to get it later on

I have a pretty busy day today that I'm half dreading as I didn't get a wink of sleep last night due to nerves so absolutely knackered.

Have a job interview for a hca position in a local hospital, hence the nerves and lack of sleep, at half one, so doing a bit of last minute prep for that this morning.

Then tonight I have a 31st (because we never got to do 30 last year) birthday party on the opposite side of the city to go to at half 7. I don't drive so will probably either end up getting two buses or a taxi there. Buses more likely as taxi will be about £25, buses around £5. I also have absolutely no idea what to wear as none of my going out clothes fit since lock down and I'm currently jobless so very skint and really can't justify buying something.

I'm procrastinating getting a shower atm and wishing I could sleep for another few hours.

I've been up since about 7. Put on a wash emptied and reloaded dishwasher.
Not got any plans for today. DH is at work until 12:30. DS1 has tennis lesson at midday he's currently watching tiktok videos in bed. DS2 watching secret lives of Pets and Dcat snoozing on the sofa.
I'll probably have tidy up and a walk into town.

Deep cleaning the kitchen (top of cupboards etc). Yuck.

Clean windows inside, and the blinds.
10k run at 5, then nothing!

I’m determined to get the house in order this weekend I’ve loads to do . I’ve already put 1 wash on , next I’m going to do some ironing.
I’ve cleaning and sorting to do then I’ll do a food shop I’ve done a list .
I’ll be back by late afternoon then put another wash on and put washing away .
I’ll make dinner then feet up with a wine 🍷 ☺️.

Crocheting my other daughter a hooded scarf. Crochet is my therapy.

Currently sitting in my onesie, drinking a coffee and watching DS practice his numbers. DH in bed.

Gonna walk the dog to the post office with the boy to return a load of clothes, then mini food shop. DS has a party at 2.30pm then into town tonight to watch the Christmas lights being switched on.

I'm lay in bed doing some Christmas shopping, going to do my nails shortly and have a lovely relaxed day.

Just in from walking the dog. Back in bed with DD and breakfast.
Taking her to gym, then her dad will collect her.
Dropping dog to DSis then get ready, on the train into Cardiff for the rugby! Vv excited, it's been a while since I was in town for a match.

DC (2 and 5) are currently eating pancakes and drawing. DH is working today, so I might take them for a walk down the seafront and see the ducks. Then I'm working at 6 tonight, and that's about it!

Up and eaten breakfast but not dressed. Just lounging on sofa with dh. We were supposed to be going to shopping outlet in Cannock with dd, dsil, and dgd but they had a bad night and are all unwell with nasty colds ( as am I ) we were supposed to be doing a lot of Xmas shopping there as sil works for one of the shops there and gets fantastic discount. 2nd cancellation of trip. Think it's not meant to be! Instead I'll potter. Bit of washing and ironing to do then will watch Sky Sports Saturday with dh as we're football fans. Takeaway and glass of wine this evening and keep binge watching rhony.
