What colour bridesmaid dress for this wedding dress?

I chose my wedding dress recently and I adore it. Unfortunately it has put paid to most of my ideas for bridesmaid dresses because of the blush pink colour - I was originally thinking dark green (and a sunflower bouquet (but now it seems like both may be out of the running.

Would love to hear any ideas about bridesmaid dress colours that wouldn’t clash? (Apologies if the answer should be obvious; I’m not great with colour coordination at the best of times!)

Sage green.

I'd go with burgundy or a light tone cherry pink.

I think you could do a faded apple green too, or dusty rose.

A bride I know chose colours for her three bridesmaids from paint cards with related dusty pink and mauve colours.

I think a lot of colours would go well and only a few wouldn't. I agree with the dark green or sage green looking lovely especially tied in with flowers.

The dress is very pretty and ditsy, not at all going with sunflowers. I'd do some pinterest searches for flowers but here's a start. I think a lot of greenery would look fantastic.

@flatclearancehelp

Cream bridesmaid dresses with blush pink sashes/flowers/shoes whatever etc to match your dress
This. And yours is beautiful.
pnutter · 18/11/2021 04:04

Definitely white , big impact , if you like that

GeorgiaGirl52 · 18/11/2021 04:48

That is a dream dress! So beautiful!
For bridesmaids, dark green (sage or pine) or black.

It won't matter. All eyes will be on you!

sashh · 18/11/2021 05:11

Adult or child bridesmaids?

I think two tone would go well, a cream top and a floaty skirt in, well any colour, but I think muted

Some examples on here

Just looked at your dress again, for adult bridesmaids, and if you have the budget, the same dress with the black lace but cut the bottom 'spotty' panel off.

Greytminds · 18/11/2021 05:46

I think navy would be a perfect choice as would soft sage green.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 18/11/2021 05:56

That dress is beautiful. I want to get married and wear it. DH said ok when I showed him the picture. It has been 40 years...😊

Rainbowqueeen · 18/11/2021 06:16

I’d go navy, sage green or dark green

Congrats!!

WouldBeGood · 18/11/2021 06:17

What a beautiful dress.

I think deeper shade of the blush.

WouldBeGood · 18/11/2021 06:21

Or a floaty floral type

Crunchymum · 18/11/2021 06:47

I agree it is a beautiful dress but it's quite untraditonal and I don't think traditional bridesmaid dresses will work.

I agree that navy or sage will be the best colour match but I think you something quite plain and simple (and non "bridesmaid like") to really do your dress justice.

whereislittleroo · 18/11/2021 08:18

Beautiful dress. I agree, either sage green, or a deeper shade in a similar colour.

MrsFoxyplease · 18/11/2021 08:25

Navy or a matte grey.

Worried1305 · 18/11/2021 08:47

Thank you so much everyone for all the suggestions… and for all the lovely compliments on my dress - I can’t wait to wear it!! Smile

It sounds like there are a lot of options - and that dark green could maybe be a goer after all! But the consensus seems to be No to sunflowers. That’s OK.

Somebody asked about time of year - it’s going to be a spring wedding, if that makes a difference.

Seasonal spring flowers can be so beautiful! I got married in April and had Ranunculus, tulips, forget-me-nots and lots of beautiful foliage, mostly grown on a local allotment. Not overly expensive either.

Something like this ?

ssd · 18/11/2021 09:47

I think the dusky pink matches the details on your dress

DoodleBelle · 18/11/2021 09:54

Another vote for sage green!

amusedbush · 18/11/2021 10:00

Sage green is what popped into my head when I opened the link. I would avoid dark colours, especially for a spring wedding.

MikeWozniaksMohawk · 18/11/2021 10:10

I think a dark bottle green would work really well, and make your dress stand out beautifully.

Lovely dress by the way.
