What colour bridesmaid dress for this wedding dress?

I chose my wedding dress recently and I adore it. Unfortunately it has put paid to most of my ideas for bridesmaid dresses because of the blush pink colour - I was originally thinking dark green (and a sunflower bouquet (but now it seems like both may be out of the running.

Would love to hear any ideas about bridesmaid dress colours that wouldn’t clash? (Apologies if the answer should be obvious; I’m not great with colour coordination at the best of times!)

It’s a romantic dress, so not sunflowers. Blowsy romantic flowers. The ghost bridesmaids dresses would be perfect with it in either the pale green or maybe either pink or oyster, you’d need a swatch to check. I wouldn’t go for high contrast with that dress, it’s not the right look.

I love this! I think blush would work, but wouldn’t go very dark as feel a lighter colour would enhance the overall look. I think going dark could make it look like you are at different weddings.

Are there any other wedding dress sites you can tell me that are similar to Needle and Thread, as I’m early in the start looking for my dress, love this style and would like to explore any other makes who do similar styles. If you don’t mind please share details of you can. Thank you!

Absolutely stunning dress! (And I think it will be timeless too!) I am going to go off-piste and say that the colour reminds me of the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette. Have you thought about maybe richer berry tones, or antique rose? Just go with what you think suits the bridesmaids and the season (and what flowers you can get without selling a kidney at that time of year.) They don’t have to match each other or the tablecloths.

Such a beautiful dress.

I would go for dresses in colours of the same level of delicateness: cream and mushroom, cream and palest chalky blue or dusky pink.

Oh that's so pretty! What about a light leaf green?

Beautiful dress. I think there are lots of colours that would go for bridesmaids (including blush and dark green) but it's more to do with the style/delicacy of their dresses than the colour so it's in keeping. I'd say they need to have a floaty, or lightness to them to compliment your dress.

Check out the website 'Green Wedding Shoes' and their 'Real Weddings' section for ideas

Beautiful dress, I'm in the sage green camp, I think dark green may be a bit overpowering, as would sunflowers. It's a very dainty, ethereal dress if that makes sense, I think the sunflowers would look clumsy

Dress beautiful....bridesmaids in green lovely but also blueish...think you want to think of tone..as too jewel /Bright might overwhelm the delicacy..... so sage/airforce/lavender rather than emerald/royal/purple if that makes sense.....

Spring colours possibly rather than Summer.....also sweet peas as well as peonies ....forget me nots...

Beajoy82 · 19/11/2021 09:49

A pastel or dusky pink or pastel blue

Missed the spring update perfect!! Yes you need the tones to be deeper so your dress pops rather than harmonises....
