Why are the Tories so great?!

Answers such as 'there's no one better' or 'would you prefer Kier or Nigel' aren't answers.

I see no benefits at all to having the current government we have, all I see is a bunch of self serving elitist willy waving boys who care only about the wealthy.

How are they voted in over and over and why has no one else stepped up that has morals and can actually do something good?

@MatildaIThink, absolutely.

The woke blokes and handmaids have such a hold on the Labour Party infrastructure and have re-written the rules to exclude dissenters.

No one can or has the will to go against them.

Why don't Labour come out with a policy to help the many in flats with dangerous cladding. Why don't they come out and give compensation to all the post office managers who were wrongly accused of fraud. Gawd there's a million things they could do, not everything too expensive.

Labour do have a policy on cladding:

Labour’s motion calls on the Government to:
• urgently establish the extent of dangerous cladding and prioritise buildings according to risk;
• provide upfront funding to ensure cladding remediation can start immediately;
• protect leaseholders and taxpayers from the cost by pursuing those responsible for the cladding crisis.

So essentially pay for it, get things moving, then work out who to sue afterwards, so people are not stuck in limbo.

Labour's policy on the Postmaster/Horizon scandal was/is that there should be a full judicial enquiry and that the Post Office should be required to pay full compensation to all affected by the issue. They can't "come out and give compensation", because a) they are not the government and b) the correct course of action would be to force the Post Office to pay the compensation.

Or do you not understand that Labour can not make things happen whilst in opposition, they need to be in power for that to happen?

The problem with a right wing popular press and the Torygraph slavishly following the party line, is that the good proposals Labour have don't get an airing. Usually, it's they are too costly, until the Tories steal a policy and then the magic money tree suddenly bears fruit.

protect leaseholders and taxpayers from the cost by pursuing those responsible for the cladding crisis.

If it was that easy - I'm pretty sure most of the companies have folded and if not were fed the same lies by the manufacturers as everyone else - basically the tax payers have to pay but imv we may as well cough up (up to a point eg not low rise) or do we want more fires.
