What time do you go to bed?

During the Summer months we were usually out until at least 10pm, almost never in bed before midnight sometimes even later.

Now its dark and cold I have been tucked up with my electric blanket, extra warm winter duvet and a book since 7.30pm.

I won't be getting out until 7am tomorrow when the alarm goes off and even then I will hit snooze for half an hour

Apparently I'm like an elderly lady Confused Hmm

Drinking wine (weekends) = Midnight
Non wine nights = in bed for 9pm and read for an hour.

fedup65356 · 02/11/2021 20:41

Now that the dark evenings are here, around 10pm or earlier if I'm particularly tired. Otherwise anytime between 10pm-11.15pm.

Comedycook · 02/11/2021 20:44

My ideal would be 9.30pm but I'm usually still doing chores and clearing up after dinner etc...try to get into bed at 10.30 and asleep by 11

Christmasisnear · 02/11/2021 20:44

Between 12am-2am all year round.

WomanWomenGirlsFemale · 02/11/2021 20:46

I've never needed much sleep, much to my husband's disgust Grin so I go to bed between 2/3pm and get up at 6am. I've been like this since I was little.

DrunkenKoala · 02/11/2021 20:47

I try to be in bed by 10.30 Mon-Fri and 11 Sat & Sun. That’s year round.

Meruem · 02/11/2021 20:47

I was a night owl for years. Never in bed before midnight and often later. Then I hit my late 40’s and suddenly bed at 9pm became appealing! I’m ashamed how early I go to bed sometimes. There’s no real need for it. I wfh (started pre covid) in a job that has no set hours, so I don’t need to be up in the morning. But I just can’t handle late nights anymore.

Pugmumm · 02/11/2021 20:49

Week day 10:30 usually. Weekend 12/1 Confused

irregularegular · 02/11/2021 20:50

Almost always 10.30 - 11.00pm, maybe 10.15 - 11.15. Maybe a bit later at the weekend. Could be a lot later if out for the evening of course. I'm a creature of habit otherwise!

I've never gone to bed before 10pm as an adult, except perhaps for the first week or two post birth. Or if very jet lagged.

I do however sometimes fall asleep on sofa before 10pm so not sure why I don't just go to bed. It just feels wrong!

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 02/11/2021 20:50

Bed at 10.30pm if I’m working the evening shift.
10.00 if I’m not , takes me ages to fall asleep all the time
Up at 5.35am mon - fri .
I think I get around 6 hours sleep , mostly broken sleep

Chosenonetosurvivethenight · 02/11/2021 20:52

Weeknights up to bed in between 9/10 and like to be asleep by 11pm at the very latest.
At the weekends I will push it until 11 ish. These darker nights have left me feeling more tired. We have been eating more like 6.15/6.30 Instead of 7/7.30 like in summer.

Magicalwoodlands · 02/11/2021 20:53
  1. My baby wakes up so I have to be in bed early to get any sleep.
WorriedMillie · 02/11/2021 20:54

We’re usually in bed watching TV by 9pm, I zonk at any point after this, depending how tired I am
Awake at 5.30am (horses before work)

15 hours is quite a lot 😆.

If you do mean the 2/3 am are you one of those very few people with the genetics that only need about 4 hours sleep and are you super productive?

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 02/11/2021 20:56

9pm. I go to sleep about 10pm and get up at 6.30. I always need a lot of sleep 💤

Pheebs2021 · 02/11/2021 21:05

Hardly ever up past 10 pm usually closer to 9 pm then up between 06:00-07:30 dependent on work/how noisy my DH is in the morning getting up!

MintyGreenDream · 02/11/2021 21:07

10ish in the week.
11.30ish weekends

Doublechins · 02/11/2021 21:08

11pm on a work night and up for 4.

2am other nights and up at 6 if need to get DC to school or they get me up at 7-8

Ewis · 02/11/2021 21:15

I'm a night owl, tends to be between 1 and 3am. I go through phases of trying to go to bed at 10/11pm but I slide off it within a couple of days and back up late.

jay55 · 02/11/2021 21:17

10 if I'm not out (which is very rare these days).

GoodnightGrandma · 02/11/2021 21:18

10pm every day

Night owl. About 11.30 then I lie awake for at least another hour. Winter or summer.
I tend to go grocery shopping from around 9pm onwards Grin so deffo not tucked up in bed. But that sounds lovely.

Daisy829 · 02/11/2021 21:22

Depends how I’m feeling. Some nights I cba to watch tv so I go up with the kids and read at about 7.30. Tonight I’ll go up about 10pm and read for an hour.

mizu · 02/11/2021 21:24

Need a lot of sleep. Currently watching something on iplayer but know I need to start getting ready for bed, brush teeth and read in bed for a bit.

Try to do lights out 9:30-10 on a school night and then alarm set for 6:30 am. I could easily sleep for longer any time of the year.

Weekends not much later tbh Grin

Would love to sleep less ( although I do love sleeping) as think of how much more I could do!
