Tea..

I have just cleaned all my kitchen cupboards, and my tea selection consists of only Yorkshire Tea...which is the best in my opinion!

But I'm looking for some other types to have in, we like different flavours and I do enjoy fruit and herbal teas

What do you all enjoy? I'm intending to stock up and try many....especially as I now have cupboard space for lots of little boxes!

You can't beat a classic Twinings Earl Grey. Though my husband swears by Pukka Chai.

Bookaholic73 · 01/11/2021 19:08

Twinnings Earl Grey, or Pukka Liquorice and peppermint.

Starcaller · 01/11/2021 19:09

Williamson's Earl Grey is the best I've had, and I've tried dozens of Earl Greys! I also like peppermint tea.

My dc drink Redbush tea which they love.

Crepuscularshadows · 01/11/2021 19:12

Sainsbury's Ceylon is nice. Bags and leaf.

Whatwouldnanado · 01/11/2021 19:13

Another vote for good old Earl Grey. Camomile or camomile and ginger is good too. .

xxxGirlCrushxxx · 01/11/2021 19:14

what does Ceylon taste like

Twinings Earl Grey out of stock on Asda ,have my shopping basket open ready. Guessing other brands will be a bit different so will wait for them to restock

Twinings LADY grey is very nice! Often on offer in Asda for £3.50.

don't trust myself with leaf! bound to drop it

lots of India inspired teas. And these teas are without milk I assume?

I'm so out of touch

I’ve swapped completely to loose leaf which I feel ever so poncey saying but I’m a real convert. I have a little strainer thing that I keep in my cup. Big fan of Whittards Earl Grey, which is what made me try loose leaf in the first place as suddenly all the Earl Greg teabags I tried just tasted of nothing. If you’re a fan of fruit tea, loose is the way to go. Fruit tea teabags are just mildly coloured tasteless water.

I've just looked on their website...its whole new world isn't it!?

great gift ideas on there, the older dc were asking so I might ask for 'tea's' this christmas

Pukka teas are by far the nicest herbal teas I’ve tried. Love the liquorice and peppermint (if you like those flavours!) and there are tons of others, any combination really. Three ginger also vg and I even like the annoyingly named “detox” tea. You can buy mixed boxes to try a few to start with - pukka herbal tea collection, or “day to night” collection.

Talipesmum · 01/11/2021 19:24

Also teapigs are good - I like Darjeeling for an interesting black tea alternative.

rrhuth · 01/11/2021 19:27

At the moment I am enjoying Earl Grey redbush, Lemon Verbena, Peppermint or Chamomile. I only drink decaf/low caffeine these days.

Giggorata · 01/11/2021 19:32

We have the London mix, which is 2 spoonfuls/teabags Yorkshire, 1 Earl Grey, made in a pot, of course.

xxxGirlCrushxxx · 01/11/2021 19:35

any views on lapshang souchong,Assam and matcha tea?

I might go out tomorrow to grab an Earl grey and to see what sainsbury's have

xxxGirlCrushxxx · 01/11/2021 19:36

lemon verbena sounds interesting and I love the look of the pukka tea's...i'm a sucker for packaging

I love assam, usually leaves as dm prefers a pot

JayAlfredPrufrock · 01/11/2021 20:04

Assam. Best tea ever.

And Red bush when I want a taste of Africa.

LadyCleathStuart · 01/11/2021 20:06

Lady Grey is nicer than Earl Grey IMO.

Assam is my go to every day tea.

I like Yorkshire biscuit tea when I need something sweet and their bedtime tea for drinking in the evening.

xxxGirlCrushxxx · 01/11/2021 20:10

i will put Assam in my trolley, its in stock

do you drink it black?

OP posts:
AwkwardSquad · 01/11/2021 20:24

Vanilla redbush is really nice, Dragonfly brand for preference although Ticktock is also good.
Clipper herbal teas are good quality and nice range of flavours
But our favourite herbal teas are from here - more expensive than supermarket but superb quality: www.shibui-tea.co.uk/

VitalsStable · 01/11/2021 20:26

Pukka 3 Liquorice is lovely, slightly sweet and their peppermint and nettle is nice too.

NigellaSeedofChucky · 01/11/2021 20:36

Red bush WITH milk

JayAlfredPrufrock · 01/11/2021 20:37

Just a dash of milk in Assam for me.
