That's great new Sue

Just slept most of day and just had a bath and printed out documents for tomorrow hospital visit and lots of e-mails.

sproutsandparsnips · 09/12/2021 23:25

Good luck tomorrow Silkie.
I have just got back from live streamed Nutcracker in the local odeon and have eaten biscuits and cheese. Now off to bed as on long day tomorrow 7-1930......

mathanxiety · 10/12/2021 05:18

Wishing you all the luck tomorrow, Silkies.

Hope your H is feeling ok, Sue. Nice to have him back, and I'm sure he prefers home to the hospital.

In the spirit of the thread, I have no news. I did a little lackadaisical searching for DD2's lost Christmas gift but didn't find it. I may end up ordering a replacement.

HelenaJustina · 10/12/2021 08:35

All the best today Silkie

I’m wearing a Christmas jumper at work today. It’s a subtle one.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/12/2021 08:53

Silkie All the best!!!

Nydj · 10/12/2021 09:54

All the best for today @Silkieschickens!

I hope your DH is doing well, @sueelleker

Good news on the warm footwear @Prokupatuscrakedatus

The wind is making a lot of noise but I should go for a walk instead of staying in and listening to it.

Nydj · 10/12/2021 09:54

Almost forgot, I hope your day of long meeting goes well @MissConductUS

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 10/12/2021 12:56

Thinking of you today Silkies. I am agog that when you asked the breast unit for an earlier doctor's appointment they offered you mental health support instead. Stand your ground.

MissC - have a good trip. Is your daughter coming home this weekend? I have both of mine coming home today. For nearly 2 days I will have all of my children under one roof... Then one of them leaves again.

DD is currently delighted with the universe because she auditioned for her college chorale, and got into the advanced one. I think it's really boosted her confidence.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/12/2021 13:09

ZZ How lovely for your DD!
Mine wanted to audition for her uni's but then the plague came.

Champagneforeveryone · 10/12/2021 13:41

Good luck silkie Flowers

DM is somewhere in transit between her house and here. It would of course be too easy to let me know exactly where she is or what time she might arrive, so we hover in limbo waiting for The Call.

DM has always felt the cold so DH has taken the opportunity to gallantly turned the heating up for her. DDog2 is thrilled Grin

I had my Covid booster yesterday then did a 12 hour night shift. In retrospect this wasn't the best planning, but at least it's done now and I only feel mildly ropey.

Champagneforeveryone · 10/12/2021 13:43

And for those of you teetering on the edge with angst over ChampagneCat's precarious food situation, the matter has been sorted by the purchase of an obscenely expensive replacement Grin

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/12/2021 13:47

Champagne That news really calms me down - and sends me on a "what will there be to eat" expedition.

MissConductUS · 10/12/2021 14:10

Tbanks, @Nydj. It's going to be a long day. 😐

ZZ, I'm going to pick her up on Tuesday. DS doesn't come home until the 22nd.

The trip down was okay. We went to a posh steak house for dinner. It's a chain called Ruth Chris. The meal was excellent but we didn't get back to the hotel until after 10:00. I woke up early so I worked out in the fitness room before breakfast.

DH says the cats are looking for me. 😽 🙀😾

Had Ct and that was fine but now they are saying will be another 6 weeks before treatment starts, might need to shift to private for operation but its about £20k.

Acornsandleaves · 10/12/2021 16:45

Silkie I'm glad to hear the adrenal growth seems less worrying than they first thought. Sue good news that your husband is home, hope he's doing ok.

We've got our decorations up now and I went late night shopping yesterday so I'm feeling much more festive now. My son has come down with a stomach bug (fairly inevitable as it's taken half of his class out!). Just keeping fingers crossed the rest of us avoid it

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/12/2021 16:54

@silkie - I hope this means less bad news? If so - great!!!

Here is a slightly Christmassy foto of the Memorial Church.

Nydj · 10/12/2021 16:59

@Silkieschickens, today’s CT sounds a bit more positive, I think?

I have put lights on the Christmas tree - hopefully, DH and I can add the ornaments tomorrow. If we are very lucky, DS might join in for a little while.

Silkieschickens · 10/12/2021 17:00

I don't know results of CT for a week and a half then its a 6 week wait after that for surgery with no treatment so not great news.

Acornsandleaves · 10/12/2021 17:06

Oh Silkie I'm sorry they are keeping you waiting for so long

Nydj · 10/12/2021 17:28

Sorry, I misunderstood, @Silkieschickens.

MissConductUS · 10/12/2021 18:56

Silkie, 10 days to get a radiology report for a cancer pt is insane, as is six weeks for surgery. Did you get the pathology lab report yet?

HelenaJustina · 10/12/2021 20:41

I’ve had a g&t and now I’m off to bed! One more week of school to go… I can do this.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/12/2021 20:54

DS's school ist still on green = f2f. 6 active covid cases. School breaks up on the 22nd. Our office closes over Christmas so I am home from the 17th onward.

DD is putting the chocolate on her cookies and I have improvised a cold storage place for the chocolate to harden.

Lemonsandlemonade · 10/12/2021 21:09

@Silkieschickens 💐for you.

@HelenaJustina you can do it.

Had good but bad day in work. Staff raised something with me which needed dealing with and made me sad.

DS was delightful when I got home.

Busy day tomorrow taking DS and child we have for respite care to garden centre. Said child is going to buy Christmas pressies. It can be a bit of a challenge helping him and keeping DS entertained
