I mean, really John Lewis? What were your designers thinking?!

WtfShock

Boudiccasback · 26/10/2021 10:48

They are unreasonable to create monstrosities although my ds would find that funnyGrin

Oldraver · 26/10/2021 10:49

What is it supposed to be ?

They have in the past had a rather eclectic selection of baubles

Including the Spaceman and orbiting rocket we bought the other year

Angel2702 · 26/10/2021 10:49

It’s supposed to be the stopper on an inflatable just unfortunately placed.

bengalcat · 26/10/2021 10:50

What’s this issue the bum hole or the penis like shadow in the centre ( obvs not anatomically correct )

SoupDragon · 26/10/2021 10:53

It's a balloon T Rex with a large butt hole. I mean, put the "stopper" on the top of his tail!

Any penis shaped shadow is entirely an unfortunate accident!

He is, nevertheless, adorable and I do find it funny. My first reaction on unwrapping him was "WTF?" though.

How is a dinosaur a Christmas ornament?

Don't recall them being around for the nativity??

Theunamedcat · 26/10/2021 10:53

Why would they do this?

@SoupDragon

😁

stingofthebutterfly · 26/10/2021 11:12

Is it not just where it's been attached to the machine that made it? Bit of a long stretch to consider it a butt hole (I mean, a dinosaur butt hole wouldn't be that big, surely?!)

SoupDragon · 26/10/2021 11:16

I forgot to put "lighthearted" in the thread title/OP

SummerHouse · 26/10/2021 11:19

Come on, where else is it going to poo out lovely little baubles?

It's a Christmasasaurus BTW.

Iwantamarshmallowman · 26/10/2021 11:23

Is it glass? If it is then isn't that where they have blown the glass from ?

NotJustACigar · 26/10/2021 11:26

I have no problem with the butthole but then again I have the sense of humour of a 5 year old. I don't find dinosaurs to be particularly Christmassy though.

JackieCollinshasnoauthority · 26/10/2021 11:30

It's a dinosaur who's had too much fun at centre parcs.

Justcallmebebes · 26/10/2021 11:33

Is that not a slug underneath it?

RabitWhole · 26/10/2021 11:33

It's where they have blown the glass from, it looks like a hand blown ornament.

SeasonalNamechange · 26/10/2021 11:35

It was £12??? For.....THAT!?!?

SolasAnla · 26/10/2021 11:35

The multi dimensionality complex shape would be difficult to achieve when detaching the fully finished dino from blow rod (you have to use a pull motion) Grin
TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 26/10/2021 11:36

Yeah I'd have thought its where they blew the glass ornament from. Bit unlucky where it is mind!

SoupDragon · 26/10/2021 11:37

I bet you spend money on things I think are shit too 😂

I knew someone would pick up on the price.

YoungGiftedPlump · 26/10/2021 11:38

Isnt it plastic?

SoupDragon · 26/10/2021 11:39

If you have to have a hole where it was "blown" from, it goes at the top where the ribbon is. Like every other bauble.

Anyway, this was a lighthearted thread. I know it's not actually a dinosaur anus.

I've got to send him back anyway as he has a crack in his front leg. 🙁

SeasonalNamechange · 26/10/2021 11:41

They saw you coming at that price
