DD has had a negative PCR test! So we are now a covid free household. To celebrate we've been baking.
Victoria sponge, banana bread and brownies!
It's been very messy but lots of giggles and laughter Smile

DD (7) and DS2 (6) are waiting impatiently for everything to finish baking and cooling so that they can go to town decorating them!

It is gloriously sunny here. (North Lincolnshire, rather than anywhere exotic).

I have sat on the patio soaking up how pleasantly warm it is, put my washing out and had a cup of coffee. Apart from having to go pick DS up from football later this afternoon I have no plans, which suits me fine!

heebiejeebies45 · 24/10/2021 13:13

Currently getting ready to go to the pool to help my PGPGrin super jealous about the Victoria Sponge and Brownies btw!

Crunchymum · 24/10/2021 13:19

Lazy day (#2) here as the kids are all knackered from the long half term. And I was out last night and feeling a tad delicate.

So far we've played Monopoly and made Rice Krispie cakes. I have a wash on and I'll rinse the lunch stuff soon and then I'll persuade the 3yo to have a nap whilst DP takes older two for a bike ride.

Takeaway pizza and a glass of red later and I'll finally finish Squid Game after kids go to bed.

Bit of a miserable house today and 1yo DD is teething and I have a head cold (and can’t take much thanks to being 11 weeks pregnant).

Did a tidying up morning and had a bath, DD is napping now and later one of us needs to run to the supermarket. Roast at 5, early night I suspect. Feeling rather blah.

Peridot1 · 24/10/2021 13:31

DH is gardening. DS (20 and home from uni for the weekend) is watching tv.

I’ve had a lazy morning. Did the dishwasher and kitchen, and have a wash on. Had a nice shower etc and am currently sitting with a heat pack in my neck and shoulder as I slept funny in it the other night and it’s quite painful.

Not planning on doing much really. Have a couple of magazines to read and a book.

Holidaytan · 24/10/2021 13:34

I walked the dog first thing, went to my aerial yoga class, then met some ladies for a swim in a lake (very cold!), meeting friends for a dog walk in a bit, racket sport later today with my husband, then a steak dinner this evening.
I don’t have kids, so can please myself.

TheBlackArt · 24/10/2021 13:34

I was up early to finish off an order and post it (pleasantly surprised when I realised there was a post office near me that opened on a Sunday).

DH has just left to go and meet his mates for a concert later. Lucky bugger!

Going to just potter around the house today; might do a bit of tidying and go for a run later (I love running at night).

We've been at rugby all morning with ds15 and ds12. There's a roast finishing off for a late lunch then we're going to the cinema to watch the new James Bond film.
Laundry and getting school stuff ready needs to happen in between (half term was last week).

YukoandHiro · 24/10/2021 13:39

DD has been for a PCR this morning. She's supposed to be staying with her grandparents for a few nights this week for half term. If she's got it after all this time I'm going to be furious. So anyway we're stuck in and I'm peeling the toddler DD off the older one as they keep winding each other up.

languagelover96 · 24/10/2021 13:45

Hello all. I am currently looking at care homes for a elderly family member (84) with endometriosis. I went on a longish nature walk this morning alone by myself after church. If anyone can recommend a care home that can meet her physical needs and still simulate her I will be happy.

hopeishere · 24/10/2021 13:54

DH is out hill walking.
DS1 is out with friends.
DS2 is watching tv.
I'm reading the papers and pottering. Will take DDog out when DH gets back.

Brissiegirl · 24/10/2021 13:57

Back from a 60km cycle with my club in lovely sunshine with lots of chat and laughs. Made an omlette & salad for lunch and relaxing now on my window seat reading before I put on dinner for family later. Nice lazy day

Damnyoureyes · 24/10/2021 13:59

Feel like I’m actually about to die after one hell of a busy night shift last night. I literally did not stop for 12.5 hours! (Nurse) but it was a fabulous night shift because I helped to make my patient go from almost dying to much much better this morning and I’m so chuffed!!

I’ve allowed myself 3 hours sleep as I’ve got lots to do because….. I’m going on my holidays tomorrow and I’m SO excited about my annual leave finally arriving!!!!

Good for you! Have a fabulous, well deserved holiday.
Penny31 · 24/10/2021 14:02

Very lazy day here. Promised DC a trip to the toy shop and will cook dinner later.
Need to clean the bathroom and dust, have lots of stuff to list and sell but really can’t be bothered.
Been so tired this weekend, just want to curl up and sleep!

Penny31 · 24/10/2021 14:03

@Damnyoureyes well deserved holiday! What an amazing job you do!

Fantastic, enjoy your well deserved break!

Lazy morning with DP & DSD watching Netflix. I’ve done a bit of housework, DP taken DSD out for the afternoon before dropping her home later. Im catching up with Hollington Drive.

Might have a Chinese and a glass of red later on….

Atlas2021 · 24/10/2021 14:06

Waiting to see my newborn grandson! who should be coming home from hospital within the next hour or so 😊

JMAngel1 · 24/10/2021 14:07

@CloudPop
Well done and enjoy your holiday.

Would love a relaxing Sunday but jt's all go.
Gymnastics for DD2 then we visited grandparents for brunch.
About to go rock climbing, then make dinner, tidy, laundry.
Shattered tbh.

Mommabear20 · 24/10/2021 14:08

The weather is miserable here today so my plans for an autumnal walk with the kids and pups hasn't happened (I don't mind taking them out in the cold but pups aren't a fan of the rain!) instead, I've blitzed the house (tidying not cleaning... yet!) and all 4 are now napping, so I've got my cinnamon candles burning and a coffee in my hand while I watch a Halloween film 😊

I've had worse Sundays!

stealingbeauty · 24/10/2021 14:10

We’ve got potatoes baking in the oven so we’ll go for a walk and come back for jacket potatoes with tuna and cheese.
I’m then going to work tonight.

Eggsley · 24/10/2021 14:12

DS2 had football this morning so we took the dog up for a walk around the field as well. Just had sausage sandwiches for lunch. Now DH is watching the football, DS2 is playing with his Mario toys and DS1 and I are going to watch a couple of episodes of a series we both like. I need to go up to Tesco later for bread as well.

DH and I will watch a scary film later. I've got 3 days off work this week (half term here) so I don't have to get up too early tomorrow morning Grin

@Damnyoureyes have a fabulous holiday!

revampneeded · 24/10/2021 14:16

Am under my new heated throw catching up on the last 3 episodes of GBBO. V happy.

Seasidemumma77 · 24/10/2021 14:17

Still in bed 🙂
