What's everyone up to today?

Love reading these threads and couldn't see one for today.

I'm having a quiet cup of tea before DH gets up. The dog and DS2 have had breakfast, dog is asleep and DS2 is watching tv. We're going to the bookshop today so DS1 can spend his book token, then the pet shop to get a new lead for the dog. We're planning to take the dog for a longish walk later and then have a movie night with snacks. I've also got to clean out the hamster and goldfish at some point today. A lovely chilled out Saturday!

Im in bed, looking forward to my tea and toast. Ive had the same breakfast for over 50 years and i still enjoy it

Laundry that’s been piling up all week and clearing out the second bedroom. Trips to the charity shop with items cleared out of the second bedroom. Possibly trying my hand at an apple crumble.

Morning we were going to meet my friend and her little girl but they've all got coughs so I'm taking the toddler to the museum and to feed the ducks instead. Then take the dog a walk this afternoon and it's vegetable pie for dinner. The weather is nice so far!

I'm still in bed with a slight hangover after going out for girls dinner last night. DH got up with preschool DC and I think they're just chilling and watching TV.

It's half term now so all weekend activities aren't on so we will have a very chilled Saturday. I'll take the DC out with the dog for a nice walk, then DD2 is getting a new bed delivered this later today so DH will assemble that while I take DC to town to buy new bedding for it.

That's about it

Hopefully a very quiet day. We hope to go away on Monday so need to lie low. Can't risk any new coughs now!
Hoping dh ticks off some to-dos.
Will go for a 5k run as I was too lazy to get up for parkrun.
No doubt painting, as all 3 kids are obsessed with it. I might even read a bit of my book.

We're about to go to the kids' swimming lessons then going pumpkin picking for the afternoon. I'm quite excited. We went last year and had a great time picking them and getting muddy. We're going to a different one this year so hoping it's as good.

I'm ill, not badly, but I'm leaning right into it. After a lengthy morning in bed with breakfast and tea I'll head out for a walk, come home bathe and put on fresh pjs, change the bedding so it's fresh for tonight, and then lounge on the sofa with a blanket, cups of tea, bowls of soup with thick slices of crispy bread and butter, and 80/90s rom coms. I've been looking forward to this since noticing feeling ill yesterday!

Got up early to write and then sat chatting to ds about fortnite and halloween. Now making a fry and after am going to help youngest colour then read my book (a Halloween cosy book!!) Have a long weekend off work (I work in retail so this is huge!!) so savouring every second!! Happy weekend everyone!!

Lots of chilled out Saturdays 

Half term here too, so the usual Saturday morning madness to rush off to football has been replaced by calm. Amazing! Wondering how long it will last though...

I'm currently in bed eating a yogurt. I need to pack today as I'm travelling at silly o'clock tomorrow to visit family and DS is taking me for lunch on the Bluebell Line for my birthday present. Wow, that's outing but I don't care because I'm excited!!

Drinking a cupa wondering if I can taste it or not 😱

I had such good intention to do things this weekend but I can honestly see this not happening now!

Just skipped bootcamp as I'm feeling under the weather and want to feel better for this afternoon as going into London with DH to meet up with our oldest friend to look around galleries, go for cocktails and then to Chinatown for dinner. Can't wait. (DC both at uni)

I'm going to paint the skirting boards in the spare room and then we're going to make it into a nice space with some tidy storage. Ds1 has got a job and moved away, so his room has been repurposed. It looks really nice so far. It's all been repainted, carpet shampooed and has a new blind up. The cats are eyeing it up as their next chill out space

Still in bed waiting for DH to return from thr gym so we can go for a nice dog walk.

Teenagers still sleeping, I don't expect to see them for another couple of hours.

I need to head to the supermarket this afternoon for some bits and then tonight DH and I are attending an Oktoberfest. I am hoping not to get too sozzled as DS has rugby first thing in the morning

Ordering blinds hopefully after DH measures them for the gazillionth time.

Sorting laundry.

Going for a bike ride locally or a walk in the Peaks which is 30 mins away.

Currently sat outside in the car waiting for DS to finish his climbing lesson, then take DD swimming before grabbing some lunch then dropping them both off at my Mums and going to work 2-10 shift.

I'm exhausted and feel poorly ( negative LFT and PCR) but cannot call in sick because we are so short staffed and I am running the shift tonight.

You beat me to it @Eggsley! I'm currently enjoying my cuppa in silence. I can hear dd2 shuffling about though so probably won't last much longer 🙄

There's some washing to be done; and yesterday's that wasn't quite dry, so went on the airer overnight, to be put away.

We're going to Lidl to see if they have any small pumpkins left later on. The girls want to try painting them this year. I'm quite disappointed by this, I was looking forward to carving them, so might buy my own to carve 🎃

I think we're going to bake Christmas cake one of two as well.

Hopefully later on I'll get an hour or two to sew in some ends on my finished crochet project and make another ghost or two for the bunting dd2's asked for.

I’m having a cup of tea and hanging out with the pets while DH has a well-deserved lie in. I’ve emptied the dishwasher, put the recycling out, fed everyone etc. Shortly I shall put the washing away.

I’ve been sorting all my cupboards out recently and today is the turn of the top of the wardrobe, which is a horror show. Then we’re going on a hunt for interesting pumpkins, and later going to friends for board games and food. Should be a fun, relaxing day!

I'm currently up with ds3 playing pawpatrol with cars whilst also watching paw patrol (it's become a bit of an obsession in this house) whilst dh has a kip after getting up and doing breakfast earlier. In a mo I'm going to get dressed ready for a day IKEA-ing and lunching with my mum and sister. Then tonight dh and I will likely continue binging Midnight Mass when ds asleep.

Reading the newspaper on my phone in bed. Have to get up in a bit but DH gave DS his breakfast, and DS is delighted about a new XBox game that came out today and which he has earned by being a very good boy this week. So he is all quiet and not a peep out of him!

@lucysmam the silence here has been disrupted by DS1 and DH getting up. Plus the dog is now awake too. I have told everyone that we are having a quiet, calm day today and so far people are (mostly) observing this. Long may it continue

Enjoying my morning coffee! It happens to be my birthday today so dd2 and I are going to visit dd1 at her Uni later on and have a nice meal out tonight.
