Feel in the mood for a sandwich but what filling? That's the burning question

Don't like beetroot, prefer vegetarian. No to any blue cheeses or ketchup

What would you have?

Cheese and tomato, preferably toasted.

Yes, I am boring Grin

helpforayounggirl · 21/10/2021 09:31

Houmous, red onion, avodado, mustard and pickled onions and peppers.

Christmasbird · 21/10/2021 09:32

Roasted red peppers and onions, hummus, little bit of garlic mayo and heaps of watercress inside thick granary bread

Blackmagicqueen · 21/10/2021 09:32

Stellaris22 · 21/10/2021 09:37

My absolute favourite sandwich is from M&S, it’s Wensleydale with carrot chutney and is delicious.

A baguette with pan-fried halloumi, crispy baby gem lettuce, slices of fresh beef tomato and a good slather of mayonnaise.

aftonwater · 21/10/2021 09:41

avocado, rocket, sundried tomato and olive, with a bit of pesto rather than butter.

Ariela · 21/10/2021 09:41

Anchovies and cream cheese. (Not too much cream cheese)

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 21/10/2021 09:45

Sliced mozzarella, baby plum tomatoes, fresh basil with pesto drizzled over on crusty Italian roll. Or roasted veg with feta crumbled over on focaccia.

FluffEverywhere · 21/10/2021 09:46

Fried egg, always fried egg, on lightly toasted, thick-cut bread, with butter..

emmathedilemma · 21/10/2021 09:47

falafel, hummus, salad and feta in a wrap. Personally I'd add beetroot too!

MrsWooster · 21/10/2021 09:49

The moong daal wrap with garlic and chili from the Spar shop at the garage! It’s gorgeous-spicy enough to make your hair itch a bit but not frightening.

LoveGrooveDanceParty · 21/10/2021 09:49

Sorry, mine has blue cheese - but, blue cheese, spinach, walnut and chutney.

NapoleonOzmolysis · 21/10/2021 09:50

Basic: Double Gloucester and Marmite.

God tier: Fried halloumi, portobello mushroom, sweetcorn fritters (or hash brown) with sliced tomato and rocket and a dash of hummus in a toasted brioche bun.

SpiceRat · 21/10/2021 09:51

Had a lush bagel yesterday. Vegetarian pesto, red gem lettuce, avocado, tomato and mozzarella.

billysboy · 21/10/2021 09:51

Cheese and Honey , you dont know what you are missing until you try

Doubleraspberry · 21/10/2021 09:52

Total favourite for hangovers - an onion bhaji sandwich with salad and mango chutney.

Vthirtyone · 21/10/2021 09:56

Nut roast sandwich (cold leftover nutroast) with cheese, chutney, mayo and a little bit of lettuce

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 21/10/2021 09:56

Pea and mayonnaise - I haven't tried it myself but someone told me it was really good!

Can you let me know what's like, I'd appreciate a second opinion.

CornishGem1975 · 21/10/2021 09:57

Cream cheese, basil pesto and tomatoes, with a good helping of black pepper.

Enko · 21/10/2021 10:02

Mozzarella basil red onion plumb tomato avocado and some rocket

Hummus tomato and rocket with lemon and pepper

CrazyCatStory · 21/10/2021 10:04

One of the best sandwiches I had was hummus, spinach, thinly sliced red pepper and tomato. Sooo good.

whiskersonkittenss · 21/10/2021 10:05

Hummus topped with engevita flakes and hot sauce
