For me...

Marmite
Carrot cake
Black pudding
Lucozade

I've got to fifty and all these have so far passed me by. The likelihood is that won't change.

oysters but I'm not sure I'd consider those ordinary, i've eaten probably everything that's already been mentioned!

Dontcallmejacqui · 18/10/2021 17:07

Oh, I forgot caviar and taramasalata etc.

Chemenger · 18/10/2021 17:08

OP, you are too late to try Lucozade, it used to be lovely but now it is horrible.

IntermittentParps · 18/10/2021 17:08

Never had caviar but I'm not sure it's everyday.
Don't think I've ever had white pudding.

urbanbuddha · 18/10/2021 17:09

You're missing a treat with black pudding, OP - great with apple sauce. It's like spicy sausage.

Clandestin · 18/10/2021 17:15

Yorkshire puddings
Bread sauce
Marmite
Fishfingers
McDonalds
Mushy peas
Dripping
Pork scratchings
Eggnog

trappedsincesundaymorn · 18/10/2021 17:21

Anything fishy
KFC
McDonalds
meat burgers
Sausages (meat ones)
Meat Pies
Anything from a pig (not religious reasons, pigs freak me out)

I'm not a vegetarian btw it's just the smell puts me off.

WildRosie · 18/10/2021 17:23

I too can add tofu to my list. And cous cous and cranberry sauce/jelly.

@SW1amp

KFC I just don't understand the appeal
Me neither, couldn’t agree more. Same applies to kebabs (as in from a kebab shop, I’ve threaded pieces of chicken and veg on a stick for the bbq but that’s not what I’m thinking of!)
Daisyhoney · 18/10/2021 17:27

I've never tried any sort of energy drink.
Also never had any meat that's not standard as such so never eaten venison,rabbit,duck,goose,pigeon.
Also black pudding and stilton cheese.

Notimetolive · 18/10/2021 17:28

Chicken.
It was too expensive to buy when I was growing up, then I became veggie at a young age.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 18/10/2021 17:29

I'm a pretty adventurous eater, but I've never tasted Quorn. We do eat meat, but also a lot of vegetarian and even vegan meals, but that, well, it's fermented soil mould just a step too far for me.

WildRosie · 18/10/2021 17:32

My late father made a point of having black pudding if it was on a hotel breakfast menu. Mum never used to buy it and it's never appealed to me.

@Coriandersucks

Nuts Cheese Tomatoes (raw) Seafood

There’s more but that’s probably bad enough. I’m a product of a mother who gave in to my demands as a child.

Have you honestly never had cheese in any form? Never tried pizza or lasagne, a toastie? Wow! I really would count that as an everyday food that it is unusual not have tried. Some on this thread I don’t could as everyday. This is not a judgement by the way, I’m just surprised, unless of course you have a dairy allergy or have been raised vegan I suppose, then I guess it should have been quite obvious!
TheLastLonelyBakedBeanInTheTin · 18/10/2021 17:40

Oysters
Venison
Haggis
White pudding
Snails (but I have tried frogs legs!)
Foie Gras
Tripe
Offal/ organ meats
Corn dogs

A whole bunch of other junk food I don't care about, too, I'm sure, but that's the things I can think of.

TuftyMarmoset · 18/10/2021 17:40

Oh I can also add kebabs to my list as well - veggie as a student - and I’ve only had energy drinks in the context of jägerbombs.

We eat tofu most weeks!

AtleastitsnotMonday · 18/10/2021 17:43

I’ve never tried ribs, I have a thing about bones and a rib is a bone! Just don’t appeal.
I don’t think I’ve actually tried peanut butter. I hate peanuts and the smell of peanut butter make me gag. I did try to once but couldn’t bring myself to actually put it in my mouth.

TheLastLonelyBakedBeanInTheTin · 18/10/2021 17:45

@LadyMonicaBaddingham

You're not missing anything! I used to eat quite a bit of it, then one day had a horrible reaction to it. I looked it up and was really shocked at what I was eating. Also at how many other people had had bad reactions to it. I only used it because I lived with vegetarians, never again! If I cook veggie I cook veggie, if I cook mince it's from an animal. I'll use lentils or finely cut mushrooms if I want a similar texture to mince, or nuts/beans ground up. Quorn is the devil.

Motherdare · 18/10/2021 17:47

Coffee! I always sniff it when I make it for others and I may have licked a spoon once when I was a child but I never swallowed a mouthful. I really don’t like coffee flavored things either.

bearlyactive · 18/10/2021 17:47

Most nuts. Just never really ate them really as a family. A good thing, as it turns out I'm allergic Grin

LubaLuca · 18/10/2021 17:50

Tuna
Shellfish

I can't think of anything else that would be classed as everyday.

Angel2702 · 18/10/2021 17:57

Can’t really remember meat as been veggie since I was a child. So technically have tried it but don’t recall.

I’m a really fussy eater but have tried most of the other foods mentioned so far.

Gwenhwyfar · 18/10/2021 17:59

@Frazzledd

Figs- Is that ordinary? I can't think of anything!
I wouldn't call figs ordinary for the UK. Fig rolls maybe.
Gwenhwyfar · 18/10/2021 17:59

Lots of meats, fish and seafood even though I'm not totally vegetarian.

grey12 · 18/10/2021 17:59

@Elli474

Baked beans
I thought I would be the only one! Everyone looks at me funny when I say I don't eat them
