What was THE INCIDENT at your secondary school?

Inspired by a thread on another website that I randomly came across throught google.

Every school has some sort of 'infamous incident' that passed into the annals of school infamy and was the sole topic of gossip for months if not years.

What was yours?

Mine was the head teacher had an affair with another teacher. Both were married. It all became public on the last day of term and neither of them came back the following term. Just disappeared. No one talked about anything else for a long time.

Our headmaster was slashed in the face by a pupil. Headmaster was a priest too so it was a really big thing

This was a long time ago! 2 female unmarried teachers were apparently seen during lunchbreak walking on the playing field holding hands!

A few incidents in my old high school were
1: Our music teacher was found in her car … with the gear stick stuck up her foo foo 😆
2: A pupil ended up in hospital after his Willy was put into a vice ouchy
3: A kid was stabbed by the rival school double ouchy
4: We all got locked out of school when gypsies descended into the school grounds and chased us with weapons.
5: It’s not sounding like a very good school to be at, is it?!! Lol 😂

Teacher made headlines in the News of the World for wife swapping!
Also maths teacher ( female, all girls' school ) had an affair with boy in the sixth former at the nearby all boys' school. They eventually married.
Plus an unmarried Englush teacher became pregnant. This was in the 60s.

Married head-teacher got a 16 years old girl pregnant. I've got to know the girl personally years later and she told me the entire story. The wife found out only months after the baby was born and went to see her and slaped her face. The head teacher kept his job and his marriage. While at school she covered for him never revealing who the father was. But everybody suspected him.

I believe i've seen the documentary about this incident. It was indeed horrific and the girls seemed completely normal. Savagely attacked their mother one morning, then just picked up their school bags and went to school. They were apparently annoyed she was telling them what to do.

Pupil went missing all day. Found in the cupboard underneath the assembly hall with their Father's rifle, age 15ish. The pupil wanted to comitt suicide but couldn't reach the trigger. Promise it's true, mid 80s. A long time after, probably twenty years, they did comitt suicide.

At my girls grammar someone wrote 'I am a virgin' on the toilet wall and the whole school was made to stand in the hall until someone owned up. The usual people fainted. It does not compete with some of the more dramatic stories but I have often wondered what the punishment was and if it would have been worse had she written 'I am not a virgin'.

Head Teacher at my school got sacked for embezzlement. Or rather jumped before he was pushed. Now is the Super Head of a string of SEMH academies and, according to a friend who still works with him, still is up to no good. He obviously knows where the bodies are.

In another school the head teacher poured a full pint over a teacher's head in front of most of the staff body in the pub at the end of term. The teacher had deliberately taken the Year 11 coursework because there was a dispute over his pay. The teacher never returned - obviously. But the head teacher is still there now

NQT PE teacher had an affair with student. They went out for about 4 years and met when he was in year 10!

One girl was rushed off in an ambulance with stomach pains, yeah she had a baby, I think she was 14/15

There were a few at ours!

The music teacher was having a sexual relationship with a 15 almost 16 year old pupil and they were found having sex in one of the music rooms, he was struck off and I assume charged. The rumour was that he got her pregnant and she kept it, I was in choir with her and she just disappeared one day. This wasn’t even that long ago, 2005 I think.

The history teacher was always inappropriate with female students trying to get them in a store cupboard with him, the other teachers never took that seriously.

The IT teacher used to throw a rubber ball at people in class, it bloody hurt if he actually got you (usually it was thrown above your head). People used to say he’d once killed a child.

We all thought the science and RE teacher we’re having it off with each other, they had classrooms almost next to each other and they visited each other’s classes quite a lot. We were aways witwooing them.

One of the female students had some sort of breakdown, ran out of school and it was rumoured she attacked a teacher. When she got back to school her name what changed and people whispered she’d gone mad.

In our first year a young boy died, people said he’d jumped off a building, ran on the train tracks, been murdered by a gang and all sorts. Eventually it was revealed he was crushed to death in a tragic accident, it was horrific and I can’t even imagine how his parents must have felt.

One girl went to the doctor with terrible stomach pains - then gave birth to a baby boy. She named him after a premiership footballer.

One boy got expelled at the end of the first year for breaking someone’s nose. I think he’s serving time for burglary and assault.

The usual scandals at my school, teacher and student affair, but the biggest scandal was at my dc Catholic school. The priest was having an affair with one of the mum's in my dc's class AND it had been picked up by the local press who put it in the local paper .

One of the music teachers was sacked for "unnatural practices with sixth form boys".

US schools, so I'm not sure how to "translate" this. In 11th grade (next to last year before graduating...16-17 year olds), my American History teacher had an affair with one of the students in my class. She was expelled, he was fired.

Ooh where to start. The dad of one of the traveller kids coming up to the school
Office with a shotgun, one of the year 10s dying from a heroin overdose, the English teacher having an affair with the Welsh teacher,the physics teacher marrying the french teacher, the other physics teacher marrying the art teacher and promptly splitting up six months later. The school show where the young hot geography teacher was roped into playing Lancelot in a production of Camelot and kissing one of the six form girls. I could go on…

A male history teacher was sent to prison for having sex with a couple of 6th year boys (17 year olds I think but age of consent for gay sex at the time was 18). After he was released he was murdered by someone he'd been in prison with and his body parts found in various communal wheely bins around town.

This wasn't at a school in Dorset was it?? I have the same story!!

First school was a girls school in south London who had a famous headmaster (as in rules etc) - he was rubbish, totally ineffectual. Home economics teacher had an affair with science teacher (either or both were married) and they had a child together and I think got married. Art teacher was a total perv, was in a band and used to get people to come and see him and come to the local pub with older girls whom he then dated - he was always making suggestive comments. Both female PE teachers were assumed to be lesbians but may not have been.
My school after this was a private convent nearby. One girl left in 5th form after getting pregnant by her singing master. Rumours of others getting pregnant and having abortions. One nun was said to be an alcoholic and hiding drink in a spare hall cupboard. The two female PE teachers there again were assumed to be lesbians but no proof. My brother went to the Catholic boys school round the corner with very dodgy Brother who used to fondle his hair if it grew below a certain length and say it should be in pigtails…

Mine was the teacher who got a girl in the 5th year pregnant and the two teachers who plotted together to kill the other ones wife by planting an exploding device under her car.
Also there was the vicars wife who ran off with another woman.
Ooh and the headmaster who stole the money from donations for the swimming pool fund.

I don't think there was much, one of teachers brother was an MP.
I wasn't aware of anything more juicy.

Just the what-apparently-seems-quite-usual-judging-by-what’s-on-here teacher/student affair. I’m still in contact with one of the teachers and they were really surprised when I recalled it. They thought that they’d kept it under wraps and that none of the students knew! Yeah, right…

One of our teachers was sleeping with a colleague. The colleague lent her phone to a student with a strict instruction not to look at her photos. Obviously the student instantly looked at the photos (as I'm sure she intended) and naked photos of the two of them together were all over the school in about 2O seconds. It ended up in the News of the World.

School priest ran off with one of the sixth formers.
