There were a few at mine. NC because mine are outing to anyone that knows me.
Standard (married) PE teacher having an affair with a year 11 girl. Everyone knew, and once we left school and sold her story to Take a Break. He was sacked but not prosecuted as she said nothing happened until she was 16
Trips abroad to Europe in y9 and 10 both of which ended up with us and teachers drinking alcohol, and quite a bit of it, and boys in our rooms overnight. No sex though (as far as I know!)
Half the school was burned down by an ex pupil, over a weekend so no injuries luckily but lots of damage
Loads of girls (and boys!) having underage sex. People say it didn't happen so much as it does now but it was common for girls to lose their virginity at 14 when I went to school
Teenage pregnancy announced when we did our GCSEs (father was the same age)
A year or so after we left school we had a suicide from our year group
A pupil was killed in a car crash, he was driving (sixth former)
School was closed for a day because a boy apparently had a gun and a bomb and a hit list of children and teachers he wanted to kill. Said child was the one who died by suicide a year after leaving school. He wasn't excluded!
Last day hijinks included many pupils being drunk, smoking in front of teachers and pretty much running riot all day long. Huge drunken party after school at the house of one of the wilder kids, parents allowed it. No exclusions!
Fights. Oh the fights, there were many. One memorable one was when a load of kids from the hated rival school came into our annex field and half of our school piled out there too and there was a proper dust up. Dispersed by teachers and the police in the end. Fights would be routinely organised on the hill on the field for after school, because it was away from the staff room and the school wasn't fenced in then, so when word reached the teachers all of the kids could run off into the nearby housing estate and not be caught
This was all very late 90s.
I'm glad mine are still primary aged!
