Can someone explain what my son saw?

My DS (14) and his friends went for a walk deep in the woods yesterday. They came across four people standing in a circle with candles and markings on the ground. Two were dressed in all black, very smart, like priests. The other two were in normal clothes and were bleeding from their arms. My son said he saw them cut themselves, they were mumbling something inaudible while the two in all black held their arms in the air and chanted. When they realised they were being watched one of the people in black told the boys they were going to cut their heads off if they don’t leave. I know it’s true because one of the kids filmed it and I’ve watched it. Wtf!?

Why? Does he have a completely unique name that no-one else in the UK or the rest of the world has?

Balonz?

@Bebethany According to OP the men were restraining & injuring and coercing Huh? When did I say that? There was only one man. I said the two dressed in black were chanting while the younger ladies cut themselves.

I didn’t call 999 because I wasn’t told about it until nearly 24hrs later. Isn’t 999 only for emergencies when someone is hurt or in imminent danger? By the time I was told, the boys were all safe at home and whatever was happening in the woods was most likely over. The boys were scared they’d get into trouble for going deeper into the woods than we’d usually be comfortable with. Reporting to 101 was the right course of action. Of course if I’d been told straight away I would’ve called 999.

The police have taken statements and have said they will investigate but nothing will probably come of it.

@JesusInTheCabbageVan

This is a parenting forum populated largely by frazzled, middle class premenopausal women. We've been excitedly arguing about a second hand changing bag in a charity shop for several weeks now. The chances of any of us having insider knowledge of satanic forest rituals are quite slim, tbh.

@Bebethany no one has said the threats were ok. Not a single person on the thread has condoned it.

Cracked me up! Grin
Bebethany · 18/10/2021 18:49

HerRoyalWitchyness I never said anyone had condoned it!

It's Sussex, we love an unusual name around these parts 😉

HerRoyalWitchyness · 18/10/2021 18:55

@Bebethany I know. My original response was to someone else. I was just explaining again since you asked.

iklboo · 18/10/2021 18:55

According to OP the men were restraining & injuring and coercing

Classic MN 'making shit up to prove a narrative for something that never happened'.

Hopeisallineed · 18/10/2021 18:56

Erm @MibsXX said that a ‘jokey threat’ was okay. It doesn’t sound jokey to me and are they definitely women? Not that it matters, nasty threat in any case

HerRoyalWitchyness · 18/10/2021 18:57

@Hopeisallineed I must have missed that, I've only seen posters saying that the threats were absolutely out of order.

HerRoyalWitchyness · 18/10/2021 18:59

Ok, just gone back to check and her actual response was I have to be honest my first reaction would likely be a jokey threat too
That isn't saying its ok, just saying what she would do given the situation.

Wellingtonone · 18/10/2021 19:01

A few people saying bloody rituals don’t happen really need to read the Torso in the Thames article online bbc news. Unfortunately horrific things do happen. Not by witches tho. I’m sure that’s pretty offensive to most people who practise paganism / Wicca.

You have just cheered me right up, thank you I really needed it.
Hopeisallineed · 18/10/2021 19:04

@HerRoyalWitchyness sorry, that’s just not right. By saying this she’s implying it’s okay to to react in this way, that’s implicitly implied by the ‘too’ at the end of the sentence. You can try and spin it differently if you like but pretty obviously it was thought to be ‘jokey’ and therefore acceptable…which it clearly is not.

Twilight7777 · 18/10/2021 19:05

It’s a satanic ritual. I personally would be keeping my kids well away.

Winning post today Star

HerRoyalWitchyness · 18/10/2021 19:20

By saying this she’s implying it’s okay to to react in this way, not really. I might be inclined to act in a way I know isn't right doesn't mean I actually would act in that way or think it's acceptable. You cant say you've never considered telling your boss to go fuck themselves or something. Bit you dint because you know it's not acceptable

Is everyone going to ignore the Green screened head that pops into the video at 0.06 seconds in the lower left hand corner.

Newbabynewhouse · 18/10/2021 19:22

@Snowflake29f

I hope your post is a joke... "what the boys did was wrong"... what? walking through the woods?... The people were "bleeding" is that preaching to mother earth is it? Then the boys were threatened to have their heads chopped off!.... Doesn't sound like an innocent 'prayer time' to me....

NigellaSeed · 18/10/2021 19:23

This hasn't been taken down, so wait the OP was genuine??
