Can someone explain what my son saw?

My DS (14) and his friends went for a walk deep in the woods yesterday. They came across four people standing in a circle with candles and markings on the ground. Two were dressed in all black, very smart, like priests. The other two were in normal clothes and were bleeding from their arms. My son said he saw them cut themselves, they were mumbling something inaudible while the two in all black held their arms in the air and chanted. When they realised they were being watched one of the people in black told the boys they were going to cut their heads off if they don’t leave. I know it’s true because one of the kids filmed it and I’ve watched it. Wtf!?

RE above comment, Satan is a Christian thing, no other religions (as far as I'm aware) believe in Satan.
Therefore isn't Satanism a form of Christianity? Bit like how Jehovahs Witnesses are Christians but different to 'mainstream' Christainity?

Whether it was idiots trying to look cool on tiktok, filming a short Halloween film scene, adults too do both these things or some sort of ceremony, they were probably annoyed to find teenagers lurking there watching them and then filming. Invasion of privacy and disruptive whichever it is. Can see why someone would say something to scare them off. Wouldn't you if you found a group of teenagers recording you, especially if they were lurking in a secluded place?

I enjoy exploring off route/ deep woods, if I'd seen this I would have walked away, not lurking to watch, whispering to my mates and recording it. That's a more appropriate reaction if you're watching wildlife.

This is a parenting forum populated largely by frazzled, middle class premenopausal women. We've been excitedly arguing about a second hand changing bag in a charity shop for several weeks now. The chances of any of us having insider knowledge of satanic forest rituals are quite slim, tbh.

I always found cherubs and all the small child/baby Angelic looking things very concerning as a child. I even asked the vicar if they were dead babies or babies who had never been born, but he didn’t answer me.

I live near some woods that are in the grounds of a religious institution. I’ve spotted a few different sites with satanic stars drawn on trees and branches lain on the floor in the same shape. If people believe in that fair enough but not on too be scaring kids and threatening to chop their heads off. Weirdos.

It does look like veg on the ground.
I remember a spate of attacks on horses and foals in various places a few years ago, e.g Cornwall and in the US, at certain times of the year such as Halloween and in spring, when very specific and distressing injuries were inflicted. The police didn't catch anyone. Doubtless there is info about this online (but I don't recommend looking). Maybe it still goes on. All I am saying is that there are people who practise rituals seriously and not all of them are nice people. The people in the vid obviously felt compromised and you were wise to report them.
