Can someone explain what my son saw?

My DS (14) and his friends went for a walk deep in the woods yesterday. They came across four people standing in a circle with candles and markings on the ground. Two were dressed in all black, very smart, like priests. The other two were in normal clothes and were bleeding from their arms. My son said he saw them cut themselves, they were mumbling something inaudible while the two in all black held their arms in the air and chanted. When they realised they were being watched one of the people in black told the boys they were going to cut their heads off if they don’t leave. I know it’s true because one of the kids filmed it and I’ve watched it. Wtf!?

This is a parenting forum populated largely by frazzled, middle class premenopausal women. We've been excitedly arguing about a second hand changing bag in a charity shop for several weeks now. The chances of any of us having insider knowledge of satanic forest rituals are quite slim, tbh.

Comments like this make we wish we had Mumsnet Awards.

I would think that the video is probably worth a lot of money - imagine selling it to some internet spooky group. Or a paper.

I'd like an idea of where in the country it is, I'm in Scotland and wander in the woods alone. Prob would think twice if there was word of this in the area.

I hope police take this seriously. Are these woods very close to you? If they are I would refrain from letting your son go out for a few days. If he is anything like I was at 14 I would have gone back (hopefully your son is more sensible than I was)
Presumably he goes to school? He could go anywhere on his way home. DS 14 quite often hops on a bus with his mates after school. 🤷‍♂️

If the people were teens I’d be inclined to agree that it was some sort of film project but the lady and the man in black look middle aged. The ladies in normal clothes are younger, maybe early twenties.

It's funny what you come across in the woods. My cousin and her boyfriend were walking their dog in some woods over in northern Ireland and came across a large group of middle aged naked men having sex with each other. She recognised a few of them as they do alot of work for the local communities...these men have wives and try act holier than holy so it was a bit of a surprise for her.
I’d love to have seen how the local vicar and the Chairman of the Parish Council styled that one out.

“We were here for the satanic sacrifice of kittens and possibly the Parish Council secretary but we forgot our hooded cloaks and then my y-fronts sort of fell off and John bent over looking for his spectacles and it just sort of happened”.

I’m not seeing that at all but the hair does look odd. I’m wondering it’s a wig.

The (blonde?) woman didn't look like a teen to me - definitely looks more middle-aged. So does the other priest/vicar-looking man/woman. Can't see the others in white properly.

OP can you hear them saying they’ll cut his head off in the video?
You may be able to tell from their voices if they are adults or not.

Let me know when you've made the effort to read the bible cover to cover and still think this. I'll pray for you Not very Christian of you to respond like that. You should be accepting of others beliefs, even if they believe Christianity made up the devil we did. I say that as a catholic

@BubblingBottle. Satan ( or Lucifer) was an angel of God, raised at his right hand to be his most favoured. When God gave life to humans he also gave them a soul. Satan/Lucifer rebelled at this idea as it put humans abouve soulless angels. There was then a great war in Heaven where the angels battled each other, and Satans side lost. The Archangel Michael then threw him into the firey pit to suffer for all eternity.
Satan as a PP said does not appear in any other religous text other the the Old and New Testaments. I was raised Irish Catholic and spent the first 18 years of my life in Convent Schools. I am now a Pagan who is doing a degree in Theology. I can 100 percent assure you ftom a spirtiual and Academic point of view Satan is Christian concept. Maybe you should try reading the Bible you claim to know so much about.

I thought Jews did? nope. The only mention of the devil anywhere is in Christianity. There's mention of good vs evil, and what have you but the actual devil was Christian.

I was thinking of that R&B star that was regularly slaughtering chickens in her cupboard in the name of Juju. I think she was putting spells in everyone that had crossed her.

Nope, back of someone's head. They appear to be wearing a bad wig. You can tell it's a back view by the way the feet are pointing. Although I suppose that could be satanic, like heads spinning 180 degrees.

I am now musing on how many rituals you could get out of a Mumsnet sacrificial chicken...
