My mums favourite phrase when my SD is being a complete arse... It's like nails down a chalkboard.

Also words that I dislike: hubby, kids, chiddlers, brew, snog, hinched.

The rich get richer the poor get poorer.

It reads as poor = victim, rich = evil.
Often it is down to people's choices. Not all wealthy people are born well off, a lot have created it themselves yet they are sometimes derided for it and we're supposed to feel sorry for the poor even if they haven't lifted a finger to help themselves.

Of course the rich get richer because they tend to invest spare money whereas poorer people tend to spend it.
It's a silly saying that sounds like jealousy.

Never heard of rainbow baby apart from on here. Making memories winds me up as it’s just things most people do and nothing special in the main it seems.

And the memories are probably never remembered by the person you were making them for.

Sick Little princess Little man My friend took her little dog to the vets the other day to be PTS.. the vet nurse came over to her afterwards rubbed her shoulder then said 'have a good day! 😲😲🤬🤬🤬WTAF???

Sorry, off topic, but re insensitive staff at the vet’s….

I went to pick up my dog’s ashes - we’d had her for over 14 years and since I’d been largely working from home, she was my little black shadow, always there beside me.
The staff had always been lovely, but there was a new girl on reception.

She handed over the pathetic little green box with a massive grin and a mega-chirpy, ‘There you go!’

Once outside, I burst into tears. Always meant to have a word with them about instilling some sense/sensitivity into that girl, but never did.
