#BeKind
All part of the plan
You are part of the problem
Educate yourself

Very lazy, and say nothing, don't you think?

Any others anyone can think of?

OP posts:
Burnerphone21 · 15/10/2021 09:06

The usual gushing flatulent FB posts about significant others

😂😂😂😂😂😂

ohfourfoxache · 15/10/2021 09:07

“Face to face appointments”

YetAnotherSpartacus · 15/10/2021 09:11

Voices of lived experience.

Makes my teeth itch.

Skysblue · 15/10/2021 09:19

Educate yourself. Only said by idiots, ironically.

DroopyClematis · 15/10/2021 09:47

"I was like..."

Starting sentences/answers to a question with "So..."

You do you.

As with others, the overuse and incorrect use of 'literally.'

Zenithbear · 15/10/2021 10:06

The rich get richer the poor get poorer.

It reads as poor = victim, rich = evil.
Often it is down to people's choices. Not all wealthy people are born well off, a lot have created it themselves yet they are sometimes derided for it and we're supposed to feel sorry for the poor even if they haven't lifted a finger to help themselves.

Of course the rich get richer because they tend to invest spare money whereas poorer people tend to spend it.
It's a silly saying that sounds like jealousy.

ValerieCupcake · 15/10/2021 10:33

I hate "you got this". It's bollocks. Just like "Can I Get?"

Many phrases are misogynistic crap or designed to shut someone up like Be Kind or that sort of thing.

Timeforwinterclothes · 15/10/2021 10:52

X and Y share two children. No, they are the parents of two children. I always imagine the children being chopped up to share. "You can have their legs today!"

wtfisthatspiderdoing · 15/10/2021 12:08

To be fair @GetFitOrDieTrying I think a spa day is the answer to everything 😆😆😁

Burnerphone21 · 15/10/2021 12:52

Bite to eat - just one then?

SylviasMotherSaid · 15/10/2021 14:01

Another one nearly every coffee shop in my area describes themselves as selling freshly sourced local produce I don’t know why but those words make me angry .

Sausagedogsarethebest · 15/10/2021 14:27

When someone's recounting a dialogue:

And I was like "......"
And he was like "......"
And I was like "......."

Drives me mad!

I too also hate the term 'rainbow baby'. It occurred to me only today that my DD1 would be considered a rainbow baby as I had a MC before her, but I hate the term.

LadyWithLapdog · 15/10/2021 14:36

@Zenithbear “...poor people tend to spend it”. That doesn’t make them profligate, how would you expect savings and investments when there’s nothing left? I think you are equally biased against the poor as you feel others are against the rich. I know the saying that “poor people like the things that make them poor“ but I think it’s patronising and blinkered.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 15/10/2021 14:59

I hate ‘birthing’ a baby, instead of ‘giving birth to’.

It sounds all wrong, not to mention semi-literate.

Iputthetrampintrampoline · 15/10/2021 16:50

All the above and my favourite...Lessons must be learned, Yeah course they will.

YouTubeAddict · 15/10/2021 20:54

Fire fighting 🤮
Comfort break

autumnlights · 15/10/2021 21:05

'Rant over!' Followed by a load of further ranting in the comments underneath

I'm also very sick of hearing 'educate yourself!' (Maybe I already know what you know yet came to a different conclusion?)

Also I'm watching Friends and I'm getting annoyed by the amount of times phoebe says 'hey!'as a greeting

MouseRoar · 15/10/2021 21:21

It is what it is.
Angry

Well, obviously!

FrenchBoule · 15/10/2021 22:24

The other people have it worse
What’s the matter (with you)
Get over yourself
Be kind

YourFinestPantaloons · 16/10/2021 00:00

"Sliding into my DMs".

So sent you a message then Hmm

YourFinestPantaloons · 16/10/2021 00:05

When people use "and I" incorrectly.

"James and I would be happy to come"
Correct!
"You can come with James and I"
NO!!!!

I have a friend who's absolutely overjoyed that her 4yo says "And I" instead of "and me", thinks it makes her super clever and I don't have the heart to tell her that her DD is using it incorrectly 99% of the time.

But I think most people probably don't know that there is a wrong way to use it

ChristieMalry · 16/10/2021 00:16

Good spot. "And I" is definitely the new "myself".

CrikeyPeg · 16/10/2021 01:08

Be kind
Team of 5 million (I'm in New Zealand)
Government announcement (usually about another announcement to be made at some time in the future)

immersivereader · 16/10/2021 01:20

Sharing is caring

Ugh sickening

SirYawnsAlot · 16/10/2021 06:24

You get what you pay for

  • No, I paid through the nose and I'm still being ripped off

I'll take that
