Following on from the ' have you met abs infamous criminal' thread. Has anyone met a celebrity (bonus points for really famous) and were they nice?

IM wasn't in Harry Potter. He was in Lord of the Rings. Are you sure you have the right actor?

I was walking through South Kensington station a few years ago, and saw somebody I vaguely recognised, but couldn't make the connection as to why - I was working in consultancy at the time, so thought perhaps a former client?

Anyway, I smiled and said hello as we passed, which was reciprocated very politely, and I went on my way and didn't think any more about it, until a few hours later I realised that it was Stephen Fry...

Doubly mad when you think about how recognisable he is (and yes, he is VERY tall).
