Accidental WhatsApp chat

I’ve been flitting all day between a chat group with DH, a colleague and our work chat.
I’ve alluded to DH that sex is on the cards tonight when he finishes his late shift. We’ve been flirting back and to all afternoon but I’ve accidentally sent one of the convos to my colleague. It was a simple statement but I now look like a needy idiot.
My colleague is a sixty year old, happily married man and I have quickly deleted the message. Not sure he read it but has replied “ No worries , mate”.
I need to resign, don’t I? 😩

What did you send?

Finfintytint · 12/10/2021 16:57

It was along the lines of “ I’d like you to do xyz, etc”

oh gosh worst nightmare! Do you get in okay with him??

Finfintytint · 12/10/2021 17:03

Yes, we get on fine. He’d probably find it funny but I feel like a complete idiot.

I think you need to send a message pronto to him along the lines of I’m sorry if you read that, it was meant for DH. Sorry again

FreeBritnee · 12/10/2021 17:03

Omg lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

Finfintytint · 12/10/2021 17:06

Yes, have sent follow up message saying Ignore, not meant for you. Totally embarrassed.

Nightmare! Could have been worse - one mum at school sent our mums' class chat a naked selfie meant for her husband. I quickly text her and told her how to delete it!

TillyDevon · 12/10/2021 17:08

If it helps I once had an email from an important client asking if they could bring 6 extra people to a party we’d asked them to and I replied instead of forwarding it and said ‘bit cheeky don’t you think ‘ 😳 I pretended it didn’t happen and immediately sent another saying of course you can!
I hope it is soon forgotten even if he did see it!

NKFell · 12/10/2021 17:17

I'm sorry, you're going to have to move to Panama...non negotiable Grin

Finfintytint · 12/10/2021 17:19

Hopefully it will soon be forgotten. I won’t see him for a week or two due to annual leave. Christ, I hope he forgets. Bloody fool. ( me, not him).

When my dc was at primary schools the father of one of her friends sent me a message intended for his mistress! After the initial shock it was v funny (although made me realise how sleazy he was cheating on his wife and sending text sex messages). It took him a couple of hours to realise he’d sent it to me and then he sent a “disregard that message”.

Could never view him in the same light afterwards! (I knew the mistress too it turned out).

I'm laughing at his reply to your request to remove your knickers: "No worries, mate". Grin

Redscarfjamjar · 12/10/2021 17:31

On the bright side you may have absolutely made his day? That's probably not a silver lining really now I think about it...

Enjoy Panama!

Greencauliflowers · 12/10/2021 17:31

You know you can delete messages before they’re seen on WhatsApp?

IrishMel · 12/10/2021 17:32

SinnerLikeMe · 12/10/2021 17:33

Chat is on mumsnet is it not. Weird that you’re so embarrassed but need to tell more people cos that’ll help. Attention needed?

AnyOldPrion · 12/10/2021 17:33

Maybe you made his day!

Is Panama pleasant at this time of year?
