Policeman kicks 15 year old girl in the stomach

GreekTragedy · 01/10/2021 09:58

I couldn't see a thread about this so thought I'd start one.

I am completely shocked at this video.

This "officer" came out of nowhere and did a flying kick to a young girl!!

Now I can understand police getting a it violent in the heat of the moment but this? This is outright disgusting.

That officer should be charged.

What the fuck has happened to our police force??

@WormYourHonour

She was actually bent over two other officers. She could have had a knife in her hand because that is the reality of policing today.

Which hand is she holding the knife in? Her left and right were both holding the female officers arm.
Has she got a third hand?

Well of course, with the benefit of freeze frame you can see that and I expect when Robocops are released on to the streets they will have that facility too. In the mean time .........

@knittingaddict your post needs a “like” button

WormYourHonour · 01/10/2021 13:01

In the mean time .........

Grown men can keep kicking kids...

OhWhyNot · 01/10/2021 13:03

She's a drunk aggressive teenager with no respect for anyone.

Police have to deal with teenagers that are drunk and adult that’s part of the job. That she may no respect anyone is irrelevant

That does not excuse the police attacking someone. This was not self defence

MrsRobbieHart · 01/10/2021 13:04

However, I believe that if they are behaving like dicks "out in the real world" then it is possible someone else might kick them

Do you believe it is appropriate to kick them if they are being dicks in the “real world”?

MrsRobbieHart · 01/10/2021 13:05

@StaplesCorner

So you can see from the posts on this thread defending the policeman assaulting that 15 year old that the situation in the Uk with attitudes to policing and within the police force itself are complex but the underlying theme is that people are "asking for it". Two stupid 15 year olds are drinking so they are "asking for it". "It" can be anything from being beaten up to rape and murder. The comments I'm reading here are the sort of thing you see if the read a Daily Mail article then scroll right down to the bottom of the page. People literally frothing at the mouth in delight that someone got what they consider was coming to them - and if that happens to be a young girl being kicked by a man then all the better.

These are the sorts of attitudes that allowed Couzens to remain in his job.

Exactly this.

@JustAnother0ldMan

No one is defending the girls actions. No idea what they were doing before the filming, but it was obviously enough to get the police involved. They were drunk and stupid and shouldn't have resisted arrest. However the policeman who kicked her was still in the wrong and it was easy to see that action other than kicking could have been taken. Just because the girls behaved badly doesn't excuse the behaviour of an adult, professionally trained police officer.

Yep

And again yep
longwayoff · 01/10/2021 13:06

Apologists on here are disgusting. There is no justification for an officer to behave like this and if you think it's OK there's something wrong with you too.

Soubriquet · 01/10/2021 13:06

Is anyone really shocked she was resisting though?

A) she was drunk
B) she was a teen
C) Sarah Everard is a perfect example at why women should be resisting lone male officers.

MrsRobbieHart · 01/10/2021 13:06

she was off balance from attacking the other police officers.

She was off balance because she was drunk and because she was standing on one foot whilst trying to get her other shoe back on.

thepastisanothercountry · 01/10/2021 13:07

@fuckoffImcounting

That man is a disgusting thug and should be charged with ABH. The way the police treat women is absolutely abhorrent. That was a teenage girl he kicked in the stomach - possibly legally still a child - what fucking fine example of law enforcement. Sack him and lock him up.
If she was 15 she was without question legally a child though frankly my view would still be the same if she was 35. It was entirely unreasonable force.

She was stupid - yes. She was trying to stop her friend being arrested and assualting a police officer - yes.. however she was doing nothing I could see to warrant a kicking from someone who could probably have pulled her off and then restrained her quite easily

StaplesCorner · 01/10/2021 13:09

@hamstersarse - so I post saying its shocking that people think the girl was asking for it, you quote my post and say I'm wrong, because she WAS asking for it. Yeah but no. Eloquent.

So you would be happy if the police did that to your daughter. Or even you?

Despicable

StaplesCorner · 01/10/2021 13:11

I suppose at least @AuntMargo hasn't tried to dress it up, a poster who has no shame whatsoever. There you go. That's the attitude, succinctly demonstrated.

MrsRobbieHart · 01/10/2021 13:12

@AuntMargo

Was hardly a hard lying kick and she bloody well deserved it !. I totally support our police and those girls look like the dregs if our society with no respect!
Awww. Such sweet sentiments.
RufustheBadgeringReindeer · 01/10/2021 13:12

I support our police

But it’s possible to support the police and believe what that particular officer did was wrong…its not one or the other

Doomscrolling · 01/10/2021 13:15

@hamstersarse said They are both as bad as each other but the sequence of events is not really in favour of the girl. If she could behave herself, she wouldn't have been seen as a threat

As bad as each other???

One is a drunk 15 year old girl trying to pull a policeman off her (equally drunk) friend.

One is a fully grown adult, a trained law enforcement officer, who fly-kicked a young teen girl in the abdomen.

There is not equity of seriousness here.

Feelslikealot · 01/10/2021 13:16

People like you are the dregs of society.

MrsRobbieHart · 01/10/2021 13:17

The police are trained to deal with drunk aggressive people. This is in their training because it is such a common occurrence in their job. They are also trained to recognise vulnerable people and drunk (female) children fall under that category. They’re supposed to employ their training to remove those people to a place of safety. Not say “teen got drunk?? Asking for a kicking, that is. Let’s get stuck in.” This is why we have an actual official police force, with regulated training to deal with these situations rather than just letting the general public, people like @auntmargo, deal with it.

Mothersister · 01/10/2021 13:17

I see nothing wrong with this. She’s non compliant and is trying to pull the officers off the other girl.

How about asking why the girls were behaving the way they were, grabbing his handcuffs which can be used as a weapon against him.

I don’t blame the officer one bit, he was defending himself and his colleague. And before anyone starts with the oh they were just young girls narrative, girls can be every bit as violent as a male.

Aren't they just!?
Deadringer · 01/10/2021 13:18

If the guy on the ground had kicked out at her i could understand it, he had been grappling with her friend and trying to hold her off for a while, but to arrive fresh on the scene with a kick like that is a disgrace.

Leibham · 01/10/2021 13:22

@hamstersarse

I do not care whether you believe me or not? If it were two 15 year old drunk boys and one was a bystander trying to pull off the lone police officer who then got fly kicked for standing there, then yes I would. Even if it had have been a male adult I would.

Is that you Cressida?
