My DD's birthday is coming up (11) and she's HP obsessed. Just interested if anyone has been and to get opinions please?

I've been and really enjoyed it. Definitely worth the money if you enjoy Harry potter and I think she's the right age. There's alot of reading etc as well so not the best for very young children. Gift shop and food all expensive, but a butter beer was worth a try!

Partey · 28/09/2021 14:08

Definitely worth it, I took ds when he was 8 and he loved it as much as me

Weepingwillows12 · 28/09/2021 14:08

It is expensive but it's really good. If she's a fan she will love be it. The gift shop is extortionate though

Yes,we went at the weekend and thought it was fantastic!

throttlebottom · 28/09/2021 14:09

It's really good - she will love it.

AlexaShutUp · 28/09/2021 14:09

I thought it was great. DD has been twice and loved it both times.

DinosApple · 28/09/2021 14:10

Well worth it!
Like France said, the gift shop and food is expensive, but it really is amazing. A mix of props, costumes and sets on display. I've been twice, once for my 30th then again in 2019 with the DC, when they'd added some new features. Really, really good.

purplejungle · 28/09/2021 14:10

Yes it's excellent

Anotherhill · 28/09/2021 14:11

I took my kids- who were HP obsessed before we went - and it completely killed the magic of the films for them. A bit annoying as I’d bought lots of birthday presents etc for them, but they just weren’t interested anymore. Not heard it happening to anyone else though, but just be warned.

waybill · 28/09/2021 14:12

Yes it is worth it. Try and get a late morning slot, as once you are in you can take your time going round (there is a lot to see).

Don't forget to allow plenty of money for the shop at the end. Grin

Hopefullysweatmightbewee · 28/09/2021 14:13

It’s brilliant!

Stumpedasatree · 28/09/2021 14:16

Great, good to hear!

Yes!
I’ve been 3 times-
Once with just dh, once with eldest and friends at Halloween and once with whole family at Christmas
Christmas was amazing. Kids still rave about it nearly 2 years on.

DuckonaBike · 28/09/2021 14:19

Yes it’s really good.

This is a nice unanimous thread 😀

BingBongToTheMoon · 28/09/2021 14:19

Totally 100% worth it!

Whentheydontmeanwhattheysay · 28/09/2021 14:21

44 I’m not even a huge fan & I enjoyed it.

Gift shop is extortionate though.

Emmelina · 28/09/2021 14:36

Worth every penny!

Daisyhoney · 28/09/2021 15:33

I went on my 50th birthday and it was totally worth it but then I'm a massive HP fan. It certainly didn't ruin the magic for me. Definitely recommend.

LizBennet · 28/09/2021 15:37

Yeah it’s definitely worth it if she’s a fan 🙂

timesachangin · 28/09/2021 15:38

Oh it's amazing. Loved every magical minute

Rummikubfan · 28/09/2021 15:38

I’m not a fan at all, I don’t get HP but I thought it was fantastic. The skill in creating it all really came to life and it’s very very impressive

00100001 · 28/09/2021 15:39

It's great. Even if you're not a big fan, it's interesting learning about what went into making the films, attention to detail etc.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 28/09/2021 15:41

I went about 8 years ago and spent 4 hours in there (childfree, so probably got around it a bit quicker). It was well worth the money, and I'd go again in a heartbeat if I lived closer.

Its exceptional.

Davros · 28/09/2021 15:43

Yes, loved it

doadeer · 28/09/2021 15:44

I've been 3x and loved it. 🤓
Gift shop not worth it.
Food horrible.

But the tour itself is amazing
