Would you do this ADHD diagnostic quiz and share your answer?

counsellingresource.com/quizzes/adhd-testing/adhd/

I've done this quiz which is meant to provide an estimate of whether you might have ADHD. It shouldn't be used for diagnosis, there are lot of caveats for it.

But I am thinking "but surely everyone does that" about a lot of the questions. I'd be really interested to get a range of answers from a range of people, if anyone is willing to share.

For what it's worth, I've done it twice on different days, scored 76 and 62. Their threshold for "possible ADHD" is 70+. I don't really believe anyone can score less than 50 and I'd be fascinated to know if I'm wrong.

I scored 68.

I have CP so the questions about moving around were irrelevant/low as I use a wheelchair. I suspect I would score in the ADHD range in not. As a child I was assessed as having several executive functioning type issues due to my CP that are also present in ADHD. I have come to find ADHD strategies helpful

Snowisfalling33 · 16/01/2022 09:48

89
I also score highly on the ASC type quizzes. I've long ago made my peace with the fact that I'm somwhere on this spectrum but have no intention of seeking an actual diagnosis.

Jacaranda75 · 16/01/2022 10:02

@Snowisfalling33 can you link to one of the ASC quizzes you have tried? Thanks.

PurchaseInvoices · 16/01/2022 10:06

I got 86 and am diagnosed ADD

FabNotFat · 16/01/2022 10:11

104 for me.

Can I get diagnosed on the NHS ?

I am realising I most probably have this

Diditopknot · 16/01/2022 10:16

80fucking4!

I’ve no interest in diagnosis or going anywhere with it.
I’ve done ok in life with it so far.
I know how to “control” myself.

Always just thought i am an impatient , antisocial, people hating introvert
Who forced themselves to not be.

Turns out there’s a label for it! Who knew!

  1. If I answered as I was as a kid or teen probably would've scored a lot higher. I've got quite a few routines and things in place now (and my life/work kinda fit into that) to make navigating the world a lot easier.
ForkHandlesplease · 16/01/2022 10:30

23 for me

LessTime · 16/01/2022 10:49

45 but I think it's a load of rubbish.

I can't remember now, it was a while ago. A quick Google gives me:

www.clinical-partners.co.uk/for-adults/autism-and-aspergers/adult-autism-test

And

psychology-tools.com/test/autism-spectrum-quotient

If they're any good?

newtb · 16/01/2022 11:17

19 for me

MsJuniper · 16/01/2022 11:21

I got 72. I have read about the inattentive type of ADHD and have wondered if it's me. Will almost certainly never get around to doing anything about it though. Executive function is a big issue.

ehb102 · 16/01/2022 11:33

I scored 4.

My mother read I'm Okay You're Okay as part of child development education. As a result I am internally resilient. I have addressed any baggage with Traumatic Incident Reduction. Nothing huge, mostly other people's opinions of me.

I would have said "and I'm neurotypical" but it is acknowledged that I am a bit of a freak amongst my friends.

magicstars · 16/01/2022 11:39
  1. I am constantly fidgeting & I find it difficult to concentrate on my work. Otherwise though I don't meet criteria.
Jacaranda75 · 16/01/2022 11:41

@Snowisfalling33 thanks. I got this:

These results indicate that...

you have a strong likelihood of Asperger’s Syndrome or autism.

WTH? So according to these quizzes I have almost certainly got ADHD and Asperger's or Autism? I really don't think I do. The strange thing is that my DS has been diagnosed with both and is on medication.

Siuan · 16/01/2022 11:42

I don't really believe anyone can score less than 50 and I'd be fascinated to know if I'm wrong.
I scored 23.
Mostly "Not at all" with a few "Just a littles".

I don't recognise all those things. It's a bit of an insight to think other people feel like that so much. I just jog along in the middle, no highs and no lows.
It must be exhausting to feel so angry or upset all the time.

iridescentpaint · 16/01/2022 11:42

I just scored 11

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 16/01/2022 11:49

I scored 37 but some of these were my dyspraxic traits.

disneydreaming · 16/01/2022 11:51

66

Thecazelets · 16/01/2022 11:53

12 for me.

Bushkin · 16/01/2022 11:55

94

Betty000 · 16/01/2022 11:57
  1. I suspect very much I have ADHD. DS2 is currently going through ASD and ADHD diagnosis.

I get these sort of results too, the thing is I think that many people have traits but are functioning ok and don't need a "diagnosis" or anything on that level. It can just be helpful to describe some of your character traits and help you to understand yourself a bit better, if that makes sense?

Bellaphant · 16/01/2022 12:02

43, but I have dyslexia and dyspraxia, which I think contributed to the high score in turn taking, following conversation etc. I also have a lot of noise in my brain but schedule things like my work time in order to ensure things get done.
