Would you do this ADHD diagnostic quiz and share your answer?

counsellingresource.com/quizzes/adhd-testing/adhd/

I've done this quiz which is meant to provide an estimate of whether you might have ADHD. It shouldn't be used for diagnosis, there are lot of caveats for it.

But I am thinking "but surely everyone does that" about a lot of the questions. I'd be really interested to get a range of answers from a range of people, if anyone is willing to share.

For what it's worth, I've done it twice on different days, scored 76 and 62. Their threshold for "possible ADHD" is 70+. I don't really believe anyone can score less than 50 and I'd be fascinated to know if I'm wrong.
@Tryingtogetitright
my understanding is that an adult diagnosis is very hard to get (many NHS areas don't really have a pathway for it), and unlikely to benefit much if you're more or less functioning. But if you think it's likely you have it then you might want to spend a while googling coping strategies for ADHD and see if anyone them are useful for you.

Thanks so much for all the scores, it gives me a much better perspective, clearly I'm underestimating how much we all vary!

Those saying they have ADHD but score is low, I think one of the caveats is that it scores hyperactive-type and inattentive-type together. So your score may be really high on one but low on the other.
I scored 91. Increasing thinking I have ADHD but without the hyperactive part.

GCAutist · 30/09/2021 20:30

73 but autistic and do often wonder if I have adhd too then think I’m probably too lazy

mamaoffourdc · 30/09/2021 20:34

97 but have been diagnosed

inmyslippers · 30/09/2021 20:44

75 18months into an autism diagnosis. Still waiting. ADHD next

cpjoli · 30/09/2021 20:49

I scored 78. I'm very surprised! I have many diagnosed disabilities, but never thought ADHD!

BapsOfPlenty · 30/09/2021 22:06

85 - already diagnosed with (Inattentive) ADHD

TabbyM · 01/10/2021 11:00

 1. I've never thought I had ADHD, so that makes sense.
Tomnooktoldmeto · 01/10/2021 12:42

Scored 11, I live with DH DD and DS who all have severe mixed ADHD which presents as ADD

Our whole family only functions because I am able to organise and coordinate their lives which takes a huge amount of mental effort at times

 1. Oh dear. Didn't think I could be as I'm not in any way hyperactive.

92. Oh dear. Didn't think I could be as I'm not in any way hyperactive.
That is quite common for women, as the hyperactive portion is less apparent in girls and also improves with age.

Look up women with ADHD or inattentive ADHD.

I got 88 in the process of an ADHD diagnosis. Never considered it until it was picked up during my masters by a lecturer so much makes sense now. Like OP I just thought everyone felt like this and/or I was a bit shit at some things.

GoingBacktoSchool123 · 01/10/2021 21:16

I have diagnosed ADHD. I scored 72.

92. Oh dear. Didn't think I could be as I'm not in any way hyperactive.
Hyperactivity manifests quite subtly in adult women. It's more about impulse control - interrupting, speaking without thinking, irrational anger etc.
TokyoSushi · 01/10/2021 21:54
 1. I answered 'just a little' to a lot of questions!
EnchantedWoods · 01/10/2021 22:37
 1. I have an ADHD diagnosis though.

I’m not currently taking my medication, if I was taking it on a consistent basis ( which I did for two years) then my answers would be very different and my score would be quite low I think, I wouldn’t be saying yes to the ‘short fuse’ part.

NeedNewGlasses · 01/10/2021 22:43

It causes problems for me especially, in relationships and at work. I've never been assessed or done a similar quiz before.
