I've done this quiz which is meant to provide an estimate of whether you might have ADHD. It shouldn't be used for diagnosis, there are lot of caveats for it.

But I am thinking "but surely everyone does that" about a lot of the questions. I'd be really interested to get a range of answers from a range of people, if anyone is willing to share.

For what it's worth, I've done it twice on different days, scored 76 and 62. Their threshold for "possible ADHD" is 70+. I don't really believe anyone can score less than 50 and I'd be fascinated to know if I'm wrong.

90
Both DC diagnosed. I was identified when they were, in my late thirties. My life could have been so different.

@SusannaM

79. Hmm...I've massively underachieved in my life, find it difficult to prioritise, struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and have often wondered about ADHD. But I'm not fidgety, or constantly on the go.
You may be inattentive type.
MadCattery · 28/09/2021 00:50

Scored 14. Most of my answers were “somewhat”

slowtik · 28/09/2021 00:50
  1. But whilst undergoing cbt therapy it was mentioned to me
garlictwist · 28/09/2021 00:58

I got 70. But I definitely don't think I have ADHD. I think it's just standard behaviour.

veryblearyeyed · 28/09/2021 01:00

90 here. Suspected autism, never been assessed but two of my children are diagnosed. I’ve often idly wondered if ADHD and ASD will end up being one overall category at some point. My DCs’ diagnosed ADHD friends seem to have many traits I would have interpreted as classic autism.

TheHouseIsOnFire · 28/09/2021 01:01

I got 49. I keep reading about friends my age who have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and they share “relatable” memes, which I always think “hang on, that sounds like me!” I didn’t honestly suspect I had it but it’s interesting to see the criteria they might use to dx. A lot of the chaos and “static” in my head is due to being a single mum and self employed so I never get to switch off.

OpalOwl · 28/09/2021 01:11

89, I've been thinking about being assessed for some time but never got round to it!
A collegue who has degree level training in this sort of thing asked me if I was diagnosed and said I was the most classic case she had ever met. I laughed it off. A few years later I was researching as my nephew was undergoing diagnosis and a lot of the boxes ticked.

ZiggZagg · 28/09/2021 01:26

90, I definitely haven't got the H though Grin

I got 12. I know people who would score highly on it so found it interesting.

103 and I have a diagnosis. I'm waiting to get on meds now as I'm really struggling with it, but at the same time it makes me who I am!

BrightonRocks89 · 28/09/2021 04:51

84 - so fairly high! I have been pondering whether I have ADHD for some time and actually have an appointment soon - interesting thread! Smile

  1. Diagnosed combined ADHD. It feels accurate as a screening tool, but is far from offering a definitive assessment.
Pickuptruck · 28/09/2021 06:03

55 snd I think that's accurate

Amdone123 · 28/09/2021 06:05

I scored 30. I've always thought I was undiagnosed but like a pp said, my problems are probably due to anxiety but over the years, I have found different, effective ways to cope.
At school I was hyperactive, definitely displayed challenging behaviour. I was bored, but not inattentive if interested. So I could spend hours ( and enjoy) translating foreign texts or conjugating verbs.
Today at 54, I'm organised, definitely not lazy but equally can sit still and let my mind be quiet.

Fooshufflewickjbannanapants · 28/09/2021 06:14

87, 3 of my children have adhd ......

Plumedenom · 28/09/2021 06:20

Scored 25 and I have never considered the possibility I have ADHD but went in with an open mind and answered honestly.

Augusta1 · 28/09/2021 06:27

I scored 24.

PamelasPantsAreHuge · 28/09/2021 06:29

I have an ADHD diagnosis, sometimes I worry that I don't really have it and that I just am crap at life but then I see what other people have scored and realise I probably do... Grin Blush

Betsythecheshirecat · 28/09/2021 06:34

I got 91 but am waiting on assessment.

Sometimes I can I'm exaggerating my symptoms, that I'm just a bit lazy. That they will think I'm wasting time.

Betsythecheshirecat · 28/09/2021 06:35

Oh @PamelasPantsAreHuge I wrote my response after just reading page one of the thread and just read your response as mine posted.

I'm so glad to think I'm not the only one who thinks like this.

HelenaJustina · 28/09/2021 06:39
